Thanx for explanations.

I find better to use "RewriteRule ^newmoddir(.*)$ /modules/oldmoddir/$1 [QSA,L]"
instead of "RewriteRule ^newmoddir/(.*)$ /modules/oldmoddir/$1 [QSA,L]".

But with Smartsection module (2.15), for instance, how can obtain "URL/newmoddir/categoryid=1"
instead of "URL/newmoddir/category.php?categoryid=1"?
(a little more htaccess modifications I presume)


Short SEO URL in SmartSection (category & article) seems not to work or I missed something.
".htaccess SEO" option is actived in general prefs.

You should maybe update to latest XOOPS & Smartsection versions.

SmartSection 2.15 works better with XOOPS >= 2.3.

xLanguage 3.02 -> 3.1 = bug corrections? better XOOPS 2.4+ integration?

Xoops.org should be updated with an Article and modules repository.

Looks interesting !-)

With XOOPS 2.4.4, after module installation, if I understand, there's no mainfile.php (and other files) modification to do.

I can only see/test it's working with "Who's online" block?

Avoid "&keyword" in search results ?

I don't find how to avoid "&keyword=xxxxx" in news/publisher links displayed by search/mysearch results.

Default result is like = "...modules/news/article.php?storyid=10&keywords=xxxxx"

Result needed is like = "...modules/news/article.php?storyid=10"

Instead of xLanguage, you can try EMLH.
