Been doing a bit of troubleshooting.

It has nothing to do with the XOOPS version since I tried changing an avatar on a different server running 2.0.13.2 and there was no problem.

So, that begins to sound like a server permissions problem.

However, XOOPS saves system avatars (as opposed to user-uploaded avatars) in the database. There is a reference in the mySql database, however, to files with the prefix "SAVTxxxxx" which XOOPS saves to the uploads directory. Custom avatars are saved with names like "CAxxx" in the same directory.

The problem is, permissions are all fine in the directories and I can't figure out why system avatars are usable in one installation but not the other.

It has to be a server issue somehow.

Same exact problem. I don't remember seeing this happen before I went to 2.0.13.2

Anybody have any ideas?

This "kunden" issue still shows up with trying to get GI Joe's autologin hack work with XOOPS 2.2.x

In some situations, you have to add "/kunden" to the mainfile.php root directory entry in order to get the hack to work.

Just thought I would add this tidbit so searches on "kunden" get the full scoop.

Getting the same sort of error: "Fatal error: Allowed memory size" etc. on a 2.2.4 installation.

But it only started after installing the newest article module (.82, I think) and comes up every time you try and search.

Very odd. Search worked before installing the Article module, but does not work now without the memory error.

Current installed modules are latest versions of: CBB, Xpress, Article

I assume that the fact you are demanding answers is a misuse of English and not that you expect to demand a response.

"I copied the original files to the new test2 directory."

Sorry, I don't see any reference to mainfile.php in your post. My point was, if all you did was copy mainfile.php to your new directory without editing the settings made to mainfile.php in the original install, that could account for what you are seeing.

Did you change the settings in mainfile.php?

I have been taken to task myself for not giving credit where credit it due.

A template I was using did not have any reference to Xoops.

A user emailed me to point out that although not required, it wasn't very good etiquette to not have a plug for XOOPS somewhere on the site.

I agreed and added a XOOPS logo in the template footer (where it should have been).

So, it would probably be worth buying the php-Nuke template for the images and html. Since the php-Nuke templates usually come with psd files as well as htm, editing the graphics with Photoshop would be easy.

I see what you're saying. Take a good, sound XOOPS template, maybe like 7-Dana clean, and edit theme.html and style.css to incorporate the graphic elements from the nuke template files.

There are a few php-Nuke templates on Template Monster that I would love to convert to Xoops.

I'm hoping that it might just be a matter of dropping references to php-Nuke calls in the main html page (theme.html in Xoops) and putting in XOOPS equivalent references. That, with maybe a bit of fine-tuning to style.css. Would it, I hope, be that easy?

I'm pretty good with html and CSS. Anyone have some success with php-Nuke to XOOPS conversions?
