Now that I have the current version working correctly I'll go forward and start adding new fields like address2, fax, email, country, etc.

But before I do that my #1 priority right now is enabling "category sponsorships" where I can give a listing a "premium" status and that listing will show up at the top of their category in a highlighted box and since I'm just a hacker and not a programmer it may take me awhile. Unless there is a programmer out there willing to take on this task

I'll post any updates here.

I FIXED IT!

I found the problem in admin/index.php @ line #950 I forgot to add the following:

$address = $HTTP_POST_VARS['address'];
$city = $HTTP_POST_VARS['city'];
$state = $HTTP_POST_VARS['state'];
$zip = $HTTP_POST_VARS['zip'];
$phone = $HTTP_POST_VARS['phone'];

It works now! I guess I just need a pair of fresh eyes to find the problem.

The zip file is now updated with all the working files.

Whew, I feel better now

I'm trying to figure out how to move the banner ads to a diffrent location, instead of having it to the right of the main logo. I would like to move it above the main center block, so it is displayed there above anything in the site, but not on the same horizontal plane as the logo up top. I've tried to just move the tag ...

<{$xoops_banner}>

to the beginning of the theme_blockcenter_c.html template file, but that doesnt seem to work.

unfortunately im not sure what I am doing wrong. can anyone help?

Well, I am working on an article module that will support any kind of key/value pairs that you would want to attach to it.

Furthermore on of our other developers are working on a module to make the creation of static pages a snap. Think EZCMS (postnuke module) on steroids.

We are also looking into creating a Tigra Menu Pro module to support a dropdown navigation..

Of course these statements are forward looking and blah blah blah..

I would personally like to the see the admin module streamlined a'la Mambo server. It's very easy to use, but somewhat slow.

Also the use of icons in the admin section is a small design flaw in my opinion as it provides no way of selecting an alternative module graphics when using another language than english.

I could very well imagine an admin section with drop down menus, one for each module. Perhaps I should do a mockup.

Perhaps I should ask one of our graphics artists to produce a mockup.

in particular I like being able to add Meta Content
to news articls etc. Geesh really a clean interface.

I think XOOPS could do without the excessive ping images in the admin sections. They look nice but really,
there should be an option to disable the images and just use the links.

No matter which CMS:Fancy effects are not needed in the admin side, functionality and useability and speed are the important factors.

well thats my opinion, and Im xoopsing to it!
