I installed XOOPS this week and now my site has a trojan?

I am absolutely anal about protecting my pc from this junk. I didn't even know it was there until I went to work today and viewed the site through IE and a warning popped up for a trojan ...some sort of exploit.

I don't see how anything could have downloaded and got past my antivirus. Could this have happened though the custom avatar thing? That's why I logged on at work, to shut that off. My site is not live yet because I'm still building.

There is something called cashpay.org loading on the page and I'm not sure what that it.

How the hell can I get rid of this thing?

How do I make the news block show the full text of the entry instead of just the title???

Are you talking about articles that you posted? I switched mine to the center column. I'm not sure if that's what you mean though.

Countdown module and Quiz Module

I downloaded and installed several modules.
The one for quizzes gave me errors saying not found or something. The readme file is in french so that didn't help me.

The countdown module gave no errors. It shows up in the list of blocks but it doesn't show up on the main page and I'm not sure how to access it to set an event for a count down.

I see the option to add one smilie at a time but I have over 300 and would like to upload a bunch of them all at once. Is there a way to do this?

Hmm... that sounds like more work over the long run. I guess I will try out the preinstalled BB and see how I like it instead.

Installing PHPBB

I was previously running a phpbb board on my site. So I wanted to install the phpbb module for XOOPS and hopefully be able to upgrade to the latest version of the board and maybe use my database.

I can't get the module to show up though. The instructions with it are minimal and not exactly clear in comparison to what I'm used to seeing/doing with a phpbb install. I uploaded the folder to my root directory but it doesn't show up in my admin to activate. I tried uploading to the modules directory also but that didn't work. There are several levels of folders before you actually get to the board files but I don't know what XOOPS needs (I'm a XOOPS newbie) so I'm not sure I'm transferring the files at the right folder level if that makes sense.

Can someone break this down for me a little and tell me where I went wrong?

Yeah that's the blogsnob ads... it went haywire yesterday when they changed it. I think its finally fixed. That blog is going to go away anyhow.

I found a theme that I believe is the same one I orginally just changed the colors on. What I would need at this point is a matching logo and some icons that sort of thing.

Do you do logo work? Like custom creation of a logo? I'm actually looking for an artist to do that for me.

I currently have a site that I want to convert to Xoops. I would like to stick with the current color scheme and banner as on the blog but have it pulled together into a real theme.
