I have a couple of modules of my website that I would like the general public to be able to view, but not have access to posting, etc. Like the xDirectory - I would like it to be viewed by the general public (like a yellow pages) but only let registered users of the website post to it. Is there a way to do this? Thanks for any help!

Thanks so much! That did it. It was the updating the module that I missed. Thanks again!

I'm using the module xDirectory which works well with my site. However, since most of the businesses that will list with my site are going to be home based businesses, I need to get rid of the "map" link that calls up a map from Yahoo.

Anyone familiar with this module and where I can go to find that portion and remove it? I thought it was in the "xdir_link.html" file, but it doesn't disappear for me. Any help would be appreciated!

I have a person that is going to help me moderate my forums. However, she is having all kinds of problems with access to the site. I had to register her because she could not get registered, then she couldn't update her profile.

Now, she's trying to post to the forum and she gets this error:

could not insert forum post

She had problems with seeing something on her old site and had to uninstall and reinstall Norton's. Now, the only place she appears to have problems continues to be my XOOPS site. Any ideas? Anyone else have issues like this?

The site in question ishttp://www.christianwahm.com

Thanks for any help or insight!

For some reason, I can't download any of the modules. Is there some problem I don't know about? I'm working on a second site with XOOPS and wanted to make sure I had the latest and greatest stuff. Thanks!

Thanks for the quick replies. Yes, the anonymous group has access to everything except for the membership list. So it's not that. And the module doesn't come with an admin program so it's not that.

Can you tell me what the "contact plus" module is and where I can find it? I'll go hunting in the meanwhile.

Thanks everyone!

Ughhhh! Went live with my site yesterday. LOL Trying to run a contest and wondered all day long why no one entered!

I had it set up with the "Formulaire" module to have the entrant send me an email with their entry. It turns out that only registered users can use the entry form and I can't find anywhere to change that. Does anyone have any ideas?

In reality, I really only need the forums to be used by registered users. Everything else on the site is open to everyone.

Thanks!
