I disabled comments in system configuration of Xoops... The new news module will not disable commenting...

Is this a bug, or have I missed something.

Best wishes and even though there are still a few bugs, great job on the Blue Move!

Blue Move Beta - ExtCal Permissions Not Working Properly

The ExtCal permissions are not working properly. Can't get an anonymous user to see the description of the calendared event.

More specifically, the anonymous user can see the calendar, and the posted event title in the calendar. However, when the anonymous user clicks on the link for the full description for the event, XOOPS will not let the unregistered user see the content.

Thanks in advance for looking into this. ZOULLOU website has been down...

Here's the code:

<ul>

     <
li><<{if $xoops_dirname eq "mastop_publish"}>class="active"<{/if}> href="<{$xoops_url}>/modules/mastop_publish"><span>Features</span></a></li>

     <
li><<{if $xoops_dirname eq "mastop_publish"}>class="active"<{/if}> href="<{$xoops_url}>/modules/mastop_publish"><span>Demo</span></a></li>

</
ul>

If the class is active, only the menu bar button should light up for the selection. However, that's not what's happening above because the class is active for more than one choice. When you click on either the "Features" button or "Demo" button, both menu buttons become active and light up because "$xoops_dirname eq mastop_publishing" is the same for both!

I tried adding "&& $xoops_pagetitle=="Features"" to the code to distinguish between the buttons, but that did not work.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I've already done that, and the Toolbar does not go away... I am using Xoops 2.51!

The Toolbar, when logged in as admin, positions itself in the center of the home page, and you cannot read what's going on behind it...

Any other thoughts would be helpful.

When I log in as admin, the home page displays a Control Panel Toolbar at the bottom of the page. This toolbar is stationary and is fixed at the start to the bottom of the page, but when you scroll, it remains fixed and does not stay at the bottom!

Is there any way to either remove this tooldbar, or move it?

Thanks.

Theme's Extended Text Does Not Show Italics

Greetings.

If I use the DHTML editor in the "teaser box" for the article, the resulting story shows the italic when I place the code around the text. It works fine. See? This text is bold and this text is in italics.

If I do the same in the extended text box, placing the code around the the text just like above, the text IS NOT displayed in italics...

Also, if I do the same in both the teaser and the extended text boxes, at first the italics shows for the words in the teaser, but when I click through to the mod (news), the italics are gone.

I think this is a problem with my theme (bleekk-xpolo360)..

Note, the italics DO show up in the pdf that is generated... The code is there, but is not showing in the displayed article.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much for the "temporary" fix!

I am not all that familiar with XOOPS, although I can program in PHP.

I understand that by turning off the security code with the 0 is not a cure for the problem, only a temporary fix until you gurus can agree on a proper solution.

Hopefully in a few months I'll become more familiar with the CMS and be able to contribute something back...

All the best and thanks again.

So, does anyone have a temporary fix? I'm sure the developers will get to this in the next release judging by the other posts in this forum... However, I have some very upset advertising clients now.

If there's anything we can do in the interim, please let us know!

Thanks again for getting to the bottom of this!

Quote:
Some possibilities for failure:
- surfing with a browser security extension that suppresses the referer.
- having the www different included/excluded in URL and definition
- Access by https?

This is definitely a bug... I was using IE (latest), which brought up the empty window for all 3 instances above.

Firefox inconsistently makes it to the URL you list but not to its alter ego (if you enter athttp://yourdomain.com, the click through won't go to a www or https address)...

Note, I do have XOOPS Protector installed and running...

Thanks for looking in to this in advance. I'm sure this is a BUG...
