Unfortunately, I didnot find any related topic here, but I noticed some people made mambo system in that way.

I'm user of XOOPS for over one year. As the 1gb.net frozen its free hosting, I have to transfer XOOPS to another hosting space.

I'm working on a tansfer from MySQL 4.1.18-standard (1GB) to 4.0.25-standard (Ahplace), It always show in following way:

#1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'DEFAULT CHARACTER SET utf8 COLLATE utf8_general_ci' at line 12

Former:
Operating system Linux
Kernel version 2.6.14.3.dn2.64
PERL version 5.8.0
Path to PERL /usr/bin/perl
PHP version 4.4.1
MySQL version 4.1.18-standard
cPanel Build 10.8.1-RELEASE 113
Theme cPanel X v2.5.0

Current:
Operating system Linux
Kernel version 2.6.8-022stab070.5-enterprise
PERL version 5.8.7
Path to PERL /usr/bin/perl
PHP version 4.4.1
MySQL version 4.0.25-standard

I followed these steps:

Ist step:
login my phpadmin:
http://....:2082/3rdparty/phpMyAdmin/index.php

2. I chosen language: english en-utf-8 and MySQL connection collation: binary
my website's language is in Simplified Chinese.

3. Click expert and access another page, set like that in attached pciture:

after several min. I've got the error message like this:

I've tried many times and searched lots of material, but still failure.

Would people here help me on this pls? I'm newbbie of MySQL issue, pls in details. thanks very much!

Besides, I know lots of people got the same problems like me.
