Isn't there a function that controls the title and content in blocks? Like the news block which has <{$news.title}>. Maybe you can add to the function and add the title like you want?

I am still looking for where the block pulls information from so I can add the topic image with the news in the block...

Ok, I have been through the Groups and Blocks; and Registered Users do not have any Admin rights... under registered users for only Module Access rights & Block Access Rights have check marks, System Admin rights & Module Admin rights do NOT have checks. That should be the correct way to remove any Admin for that group correct?

Is it possible to have it hard coded within the module? I believe that this is the case. But that would still have to have some sort of permission within the admin.php file...

This is killing me. :)

Thanks again.

I have the latest XOOPS version and the module was from this site's module repository.

The blocks and the groups are correct. No one other than the Admin or Staff should have access.

But like I said there is limited Admin access mainly for the Reviews, so I am looking through the admin of the reviews and the header.

For a better idea of what I am talking about, register and follow a review and check your User Menu. Admin will be on the bottom (like it should if you have admin access). Forgive me with the incomplete site, one step at a time.

I am using the reviews Module and a normal user logged in is able to edit and modify reviews. How can I remove this priviledge?

I have looked through any groups for checks, I have looked through the Reviews Settings and I have even tried to comment out certain parts of the source files where Admin was associated but that obviously affects the real admins. The user logged in has an Admin link in the user menu, but with limited access. I want this removed as well.

Thanks.

The marquee from text isn't what I am looking for. I need to grab data from the the db and use it in the block, i.e. photos, links and basic text... thanks though.

*BUMP* Still nothing and all my tests and guesses have run out... Everything I did within the block with the <{if}> tags didn't work, not sure where the tags read from... I have tried a couple of tags but this is the one that would make sense.

<{if $xoops_uservoted == 1}> but I would have to pull info from the table where the users' ID was already there, and if so, uservoted equals 1... but when I mimic some data entries (which I am still playing with) I get either blanks or it looks the same... I don't have the database code (at work).

Is there a block out there that pulls info (like reviews, top 5) then cycles them through after a period of time. I am attempting to do this through some iframe and div layers but I would prefer a flash code....

I am looking for a block that works with the existing poll module that instead of showing an option to vote when the user has already voted it shows the results as in the results page.

I have tried using if tags with user info, but I keep getting errors or blank pages, I have tried getting the info from the log table.

I tried to remove the right <td> to see what it woul look like... I would have to do a some modifications of the themes.html file but my main goal is to have the option to disable the right and later the left blocks shile viewing certain parts of the site without have the columns showing that would have been containing the blocks... Right now if I just apply the settings in admin, I still get the <td> column showing up. Still new to XOOPS so still learning..
