My Sci-Fi Website + Free Flash Games

Here is my site http://www.jonja.net

All things Sci-Fi and Fantasy. News, reveiws and opinion pieces.

We have weekly reviews of new episodes of Battlestar Galactica, Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis.

We also do review of DVD's, some horror and Anime projects.

We try to hold a "live" Sci-Fi quote game in the Chat room that is really a lot of fun at least once a month, but we are working on doing more than once a month.

Plus we have over 220 free flash games in the "Arcade" that keeps track of high scores. So you can compete with other users for high scores. You must be registered in the forums for it to save your high scores (its free) The Aracde is located in the forums.

Plus we are working on getting some exclusive information on a new Sci-Fi TV show under development. You can read about that in the forums as well.

We also have the Chess and Frozen Bubble mods installed on the front page for users to have some fun with.

I would love to hear some feedback from other XOOPS users.

Date Display on Xoops

I hate the way XOOPS displays the date.

example: 2006/02/15

I want to change the this to someting more normal

example: 02/15/2006

I have look in the admin panel, but I cannot see anywhere that I can change this.

Ideas?

Email Notifications not working

Email notifications stopped working on my site.

New Users dont get activation emails, I dont get new users notifications and I installed the Chess Module and there are no notifications going out for that either.

How do I fix this?

Try this in phpmyadmin. Connect to your database, empty the session table it will be prefix_sessions. Go back and repair the session table, then try to log in again.

When was PHP debug turned on? And it also seems that some files may be corrupted. Was there anything done during your last successful login?

There is no "prefix_session" listed in my data base.

PHP debug? I have no clue

I last logged in earler today and posted a new news event and activated a banner. That was it.

My site has been running just fine for several months now, today when I get home from work, I type the website URL into my browser and instead of my front page I get the log in screen.

Ok, so I log in and it says "Sorry, you do not have permission to view this"

I try several times, same thing.

I have some of the other peeps who are registered at my site and they get the same thing.
