I'm fairly new to Linux, but was wondering how the hell to compile a c program from the Ubuntu terminal.

I have tried
cc search.c
gcc search.c
make search.c

But I always get 'command not found'.

Could anyone enlighten me on this issue?

xoops[1] is a temporary file stored on your computer. If you change it, then no changes will be made to your site. If you want to edit your website's source, you will need to find the theme.html file in your XOOPS installation on your ftp server.

This can usually be found at yoursite.com/themes/<theme_name>/theme.html

There are two fonts that I seem to see everywhere. Not just on the web, but on the sides of buses, on billboards, aeroplanes and shop signs. I really want these fonts, whether they are free or premium. In order to get the fonts, I need to know their names (I have already spent much time searching for them).

I have found images in which the fonts have been used:

Font 1
http://www.orange.co.uk/images/editorial/orange_shop_title1.gif
http://uknowwho.co.uk/images/welcome_title.gif
(This one's all over the Orange website)

Font 2
http://www.blogtopsites.com/images/blogtopsites2/header_01.gif

Can someone PLEASE put me out of my misery by telling me the names of these fonts!

Me?.. Sad?.. No way!

Most XOOPS themes are too cluttered - Tempo, I've been looking for a simple theme as well. I haven't been bothered enough to make one myself though.

I'm sure that making a simple XOOPS theme wouldn't be very difficult if you have a bit of xhtml & css knowledge.

I made one of those once. I just hard coded all of the links into theme.html

Sorry for being an idiot I don't think that it can be done. If you're really desperate you could always use flash!

I'm certain that it's possible, but it'd be a messy hack

Sorry, I did not read your post carefully. This is an annoying one. If you get really desperate you could always use flash!

You could code the JS so that it does not pop up when the name/id of the submit button is pressed. I know that this is not proper JS, but it should illustrate my point:

textarea onchange="if([not clicking] document.formname.submit) {
alert('please press submit to save changes')
}" cols="30" rows="30" />

The question is, how do you code the not clicking bit?

There's no such function as onunfocus, by any chance? I'm no js expert (as you may alreadu have guessed), but I think that detecting the textarea's focus could be helpful
