We really appreciate the kind words. As to why more people aren't using XOOPS? Hmmm... I kinda like the amount of people we have now versus 100's of people logged on. The reason I say this is because, like yourself, I think that generally we have more quality users than quantity.

I would rather have that ration any day! The users we have are on par, much more helpful and considerate and more diverse internationally. So, that's about the best explination I have and we STILL have the same people on the core team that we had almost two years which is proving to serve us well.

Just my 2c
Eric

Sorry you didn't like my answer. I used our search to look for "Firewall Problem" and nothing came up except this thread. I am glad to see that someone has come up with a hack that works.

I'm sorry about the problems your having.. After re-reading this thread, the common denominator is ZAP. XOOPS is used by hundreds of people around the globe and this is the only firewall report that we have. I wish we could be of more help with this.

This is not a problem with XOOPS codes. It may be a problem with the server config as this is what causes problems 99% of the time. All XOOPS is doing is sending back xhtml. Sinice all good hosted sites are behind a firewall (not of their control, it's the hosters control) it's most like something between here and your PC.

I run behind a corporate firewall (squid) that serves 26K users every day of the year and I have no problems logging into XOOPS.org.
