Have you had a look at TinyD ? It comes pre-cloned, you can have 10 instances and make more if you want. Beautiful module.

Indeed, I have, and I like it. However, the SPAW editor is too complicated for my users. Mainly, it is the imagemanager that terrifies them. So, the FCKeditor and Koivi editor works better for me, that's why I use for contents for the club pages.. and tinyD for everything else.(static, that is)

Hi,

Why do you need cloned modules?

The reason why I really needded the loned version of the contents module is the following:

*) I run an organisation website. Each club in the organisation would liek to have therir own "space", providing what would be the equivalent of a club web page. Now, the downsides of a single module approach is:
- If a number of pages is named the same way, like "contact info", it is very difficult fto find them in the Edit admin page when you would like to change the weight.
- All users with admin privelages to the module may make a mistake and damage some other clubs page.
- It is a bit complicated to get each club to have an automatically updated menu, and when you manage it, you loos the ability to have sub-menus.

So, the cloned version of the contents module was a blessing for us. I just have to get them all working.

Although, it would be nice to have all the FCKeditor stuff outside of teh module. That would spare some overhead.

Hi,

Some information is given by backend.php in your XOOPS installation:

https://xoops.org/backend.php

This gives you a RSS feed of some modules.
You may also use the What's New module from here
http://linux2.ohwada.net/modules/mydownloads/visit.php?cid=1&lid=11

to gather information from more modules.

Hi (again),

More on this issue. I used to have Firefox 1.0.6 installed on my linux box, and in this browser, teh editor worked. However, I find that the 1.5 version of the browser does not work with this version of the editor. The newest version of the FCKeditor works ok, though..

http://www.fckeditor.net/demo/default.html

Koivi works ok.

Hi again,

My users also have been complaining on a the FCK editod not showing up and there being a 'FCKLang undefined' message in IE.

According to this doc:
http://cmsinfo.org/scripts/fckeditor/_documentation/WhatsNew.html

this is a bug that should have gone away withthe 2.0b version of fckeditor. Is it possible to switch version to the 2.3 release?

The cloned version of contents works ok, but the editor is troublesome.

Hi,

I am having problems with this. I have a site at www.mysite.com/xoops

the config file of the filemanager contains:
$fckphp_config['UserFileBase']="/modules/content_09/admin"

$fckphp_config['urlprefix']="http://www.mysite.com";

$fckphp_config['UserFilesPath']="/xoops/fck_common";

Xoops 2.0.14 - and set the 2 new blocks to appear above content in your theme

Hi davidl2,

I am running 2.2.4 and will have to stick with that branch since I use costumised user profiles alot. It seems that placing blocks above contents, such as the module 'content', is not a problem. Placing it _below_ the contents is...
If a remember correctly, the hack I am searching for does just that...

Hi,

I subscribe to a number of RSS feeds from websites where xoops-modules and hacks are announced. I remember reading about a hack that allows placement of blocks over and under the content, but I cannot find it again.

Does anyone else know where I have seen this?
