Couple of NEWBB 2.0 Final Questions..

Hellooooo,

just got a couple of quick questions for NEWBB 2.0 Final.

1) Is there a way to make it compulsary to click on the title to enter a forum? Currently the way mine works is if you just click anywhere in the box containing the forum name it will enter the forum.

2) Where does the text in NEWBB gets it's CSS from? is it the CSS file from my /themes folder? I have tried to change .itemText in style.css but the wordings in my forums are still so small!!

3) Also, can i attach more than 1 file per post? This would be helpful when i want to upload pictures but not having to click reply each time.

4) Lastly, is there a way to remove "Enable XOOPS Code" at the end of this page as i think the average user won't know what is that and it will only confuse them.

Hello, i have fixed the problem!! Although at first when i tried to add the transparent pixel and set it to 160, that didn't work the border still shrunk.

What i tried next was to set the entire left column table to width=160 instead of width=100%. and that worked!

I wanna thank ya all for helping me with this problem i really appreciate it. Many thanks and happy new year in advance

Heh i'll probably do that or just leave it. Btw do you have any idea what is causing it?

Would be sweet if someone could come up with something to solve this problem..

I guess other than this my site is more or less completed hehe.

Hello,

first i'd had to say XOOPS is great and is the best CMS i've ever used. however since i heard the next XOOPS release will be a major one, i just thought i might wanna share some features which i'm sure the majority of the community will find useful.

1) Customizable registration form
allows us to create the form and denote which fields are required and which are not.

2) Better Private Message System
A complete PM system with "Trash" "Outbox" "Inbox" and so on would be nice. Another great feature would be if it can be possible to limit the number of private msges each group were allowed. Like admins can have 1000 priv msges whereas members could only have 100.

3)Ability to limit Signature
Sometimes, users post sigs which are 20 lines long or a 800x600 picture. the ability to limit the number of lines of whether to allow [img] tags would be very useful as well!

that's my list for now and i sincerely hope that these can be done in the next release! but done or not, i'll always support XOOPS as it is the best!

I have already made NewBB resize to thumbnail if UPLOADED picture is bigger than 480x480. HOWEVER, this rule isn't abided to if the picture is LINKED.

which means Resized Image still shows 1024x768 or whatever if it is linked. So is there really NO solution to this?

So there is no fix to this? And the bar will always shrink if there are pictures in the forumS?

Hi guys,

for my website, i have set the left and right colum to width 160. However, when i go into the forums and view a thread which has a picture, the left-colum will shrink and just be wide enough to accomodate the words under the section. Anyone knows what's wrong with my theme or how i can fix this?
