The root folder for my web site has a folder named pdfs.

Any URL to a pdf I make, regardless of where the link is coming from, can point to this folder like so:

<a href="/pdfs/example.pdf">Description For Example</a>

Maybe I don't understand your question and am over-simplifying, but I hope that helps.

If your email system is an open relay, that's a problem whether you're using xDirectory or not.
I suggest you lock down your email system regardless of whether you figure out how to disable email forms in xDirectory.
Since your system has already been compromised, a smart spammer will be able to get your account information and relay the mail they want through your system.
If you're not hosting your own email, contact your provider and have them set up SMTPAuth for you.

I recently added some topic images to my news categories and I'm having a strange problem.
The topic images are not staying within the news article blocks; they are spilling over into the blocks below.

A picture is worth a thousand words, so take a look at the screen capture below.

I'm running XOOPS 2.0.9.2 with mySQL 3.23.58-nt and PHP Version 4.3.9. I recently installed newbb 2.01.

Can anyone tell me what's happening?
Has anyone else had this problem?

When you log in as administrator, do you see a User Menu?
If you see a User Menu, you should see an item saying Administration Menu in that.
Click on Administration Menu to administer the program.

Every time I try to go to your site (http://portail.dreamcorporation.com) a window comes up asking me to save a file called "portail.dreamcorporation[1]".
I'm using Internet Explorer 6.0.2900.2180 on Windows XP SP2.

I asked this question quite awhile ago and know that one of you has an answer.
I've searched for help on this and found one reference to NewBB2's png transparancy function, but for the life of me couldn't figure out how to implement it.
Please help :)

I'm sorry, I've never been a fan of mac hardware. They're overpriced and over-rated. I currently have to manage a graphics studio with a mixed macintosh/pc environment. Especially with the hardware side going increasingly towards generic pc components, I find the prices Apple charges ridiculous.
Now, on the software side of the coin, I absolutely love OSX and wish Microsloth would learn a thing or two about interface design, APIs and kernel optimization.

After upgrading to XOOPS 2.0.9 beta and now to 2.0.9.2, the mail problem has mysteriously disappeared.
It's troubling to not know what's going on, but I'm happy to have a working mail system.

If I were you, I would upgrade.
I had terrible problems with XOOPS 2.0.7.3's email system. It wouldn't send any information to my mail server.
After upgrading, first to 2.0.9 and then to 2.0.9.2, the problem mysteriously went away.
It is troubling that I never found out why the problem occurred in the first place, but it was nice that it was solved in the next version upgrade.
Once this problem went away, I went ahead and donated to XOOPS. I think it's an excellent open source project.

Nicely designed site, but it takes a great deal of time to load from Toronto, Canada :)
