If your LINUX box can access your windows 2003 server you can configure XOOPS with ADS Authentication (ADS) and so use your windows login.
Yan can also activate "Automatic User provisionning", so the user is automaticaly create in the XOOPS Database.

You can use the LDAP Hack 0.6 or if you are patient, wait for the 20.0.14 release in the next days.

No, the echo command will generate :

Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent

You can use it temporaly to see the register_global value but you must delete it after that.


It's better to use the PHP trigger_error function and turn on the PHP debug mode in XOOPS.

Hi,

Do you add output functions in the mainfile.php (for example for test) like echo, var_dump, ... functions. ?

Can you show us a copy of your mainfile.php and especially the line 41. ?

Hi,

I can't help you because I'm not a designer. But I understand very well your problem because I'm searching also such talents : it's very difficult to find !!

XOOPS really needs good designer to work with theme producers and developpers.

I think it is due to the magic_quote_gpc in the php.ini. You must set this option to no.

There is no default page for this module.

Can you show me more details about your configuration.
For example a hard copy of the authentication preferences screen.

What is exactly the message display by XOOPS ?

The LDAP Auth Hack works with : openldap, windows 2000, windows 2003 and all LDAP Server compliant.

If you have a windows 2003 that store your user account, you can use this Windows server to autheticate your XOOPS User.

If you have WIndows Server 2003 : NO

This new version allows, not only to autheticate user on Windows AD, but also to automaticaly synchronised Windows User information to XOOPS Account (Xoops needs its MySQL database to be filled by user info).

To resume :

- You configure your authentication preferences in the XOOPS Admin panel with AD authentication
- You active the provisioning
- Enjoy !

Download the last hack at "sourceforge patch". It allow to exclude user from LDAP authentication.

So if you change accidently to LDAP mode you can still
login to XOOPS.
