Hi, I already have a XOOPS site running for some time now, now I've decided to make a German Portal, and to do that, I'm going to use Mambo, because I do not need all of XOOPS features for that second site (i.e. forums etc...). Now my question is, how can I make Mambo use my existing XOOPS user DB only?

Thanks, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I'd like to configure XOOPS so only the latest 3 news will be displayed. XOOPS's ACP only gives the option of 5 and above, is there any hack or manual modification I could make to lower it to only 3?

Thanks.

My guess would be that not many people here use XOOPS 1.3.10 anymore, that's why no one can help you. You could try PMing one of the developers and asking them.

Hey everyone, I was looking on Mambo CMS's website and found this:http://forum.mamboserver.com/showthread.php?t=11375 Has anyone tried this with a XOOPS installation? If yes, can you post the results (the load averages), the server my site is running on doesn't let me access the load averages reports.

Thanks.

It depends on who your mySQL host is. For example 1&1's mySQL databases are behind their network firewalls, meaning that you can connect to them only through your hosting account on one of their servers.
