I was just curious if anyone knew of any "pm" replacements. The standard one on my site is nice and accessible, but it doesn't show you your sent items like a real mailbox. Anyone know how i could make this or know of any "pm" replacements?

Not so well. I tried several things and after all was said and done I decided not to go along with it.

Several reasons:

1. Torrents are good, but in my experience newsgroups are waaaay faster. Especially when you use a program like newsleecher. Then all I have to do is post the .nzb for other members on my site.

2. Torrent sites are getting shut down left and right. While I don't mind hosting a few .torrent files on my site, making it a tracker just puts me out there to be shut down.

3. Bandwidth. Hosting it on your local machine where you have unlimited bandwidth probably isn't a bad idea however you won't be able to host much. Putting it on your server means you'll be eating up bandwidth left and right. I like helping the scene, but not at the cost of hundreds of dollars a month in server costs.

IMHO.

Do think it would be neat to see someone develop something though.

Indeed sir you are

BornSlacker.com is an adult gaming website. The forte of our site is not "porn" it's gaming. However the group of guys that have made themeselves a home here are your typical guy and enjoy boobies just like every other warm blooded male in the world.

Hence when we find a picture of a nice looking young lady that we think is worth posting about we might, but it's in the "adult pictures" forum, not on the main page, or it's in the "articles" section marked as [NSFW], or in the gallery also marked as [NSFW].

I did have a Disclaimer Page at one point but it did more harm than good. I just try to keep "mostly" clothed women on the homepage and if you notice I provided a censored screenshot for those that browse from work like myself.

I think there is a big difference between my site and the porn site listed.

I downloaded both the development sms module and the sms module listed here for download and couldn't get either of them to work.

Could anyone else see if they can get either of these modules to work and if so could you possibly post a download to the source your using.

I had the development one working a while back but it doesn't work anymore.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think it has something to do with the permissions in flash. For example...

I had the block on "http://www.mysite.com" but I had the flash in "http://www.mysite.com/flash/flash.swf" soon as I moved it to the root "http://www.mysite.com" so that the code would read "flash.swf" instead of "flash/flash.swf" for some reason it worked. But I only have this issue with flash that has a config.xml file that it refers to.

hope this helps.

I have the same issue. Flash embed code works perfect in standalone html page, soon as I try and put it in a block... nothing.

I noticed though that when I take the "www" out of the url to the standalone it causes the same error. don't know if this has anything to do with it, but it's very annoying.

This is a flash that has an .xml file it referrs to, is yours the same or is it just a simple standalone .swf?

Yea... I'm back. Turns out xoops.org was blocking my ip address. I powered down my modem for about an hour and pulled a different dynamic ip address and now I can see the site.

I remember it went down right after I used the "code" brackets. Oh well. Thanks for the input.

I have 4 PC's from home an none of them can get to xoops.org. It just shows a white page.

4 seperate PC's.

I can get xoops.org from work though.

Would it be possible that xoops.org may be blocking my ip range or something?

or is this something I should be contacting my ISP about?

I tried to download this module from the dev site and it's not there... anyone have a working copy of it? If so I would host it on my server. PM or e-mail me if you have a copy. Thanks for the help.
