You need to give the IUSR account modify permissions on mainfile.php

If you are using Windows XP, setting NTFS permissions as I have stated above requires a couple of steps.

Open Windows Explorer. Go to Tools|Folder Options. Now click the View Tab. Uncheck Simple File Sharing which is the last option.

Now go back to your XOOPS directory. Right click on Mainfile.php. Go to Properties. Now click the Security Tab. You will have to add the IUSR_MachineName (MachineName being the name of your computer) and give that account Modify permissions ---- this will get rid of the error all you guys are running into.

If you are still running into issues, I suggest you visit my site & there is a Install XOOPS on IIS guide listed on the homepage.

Make sure that the IUSR account has "write & modify" permissions on mainfile.php.

You can send those inactive users an email bu choosing them & using the send email option. Here are some smarty templates:

User Name ID    :  {X_UNAME}
Email address    :    {X_UEMAIL}
Activation Link:   {X_UACTLINK}

Hey everyone -

A few months back, I hired a theme designer to create a new theme for my site. While I like the overall theme, it still needs a lot of work & trying to get this person to do anything more is like pulling teeth so I am looking for someone to finsih the theme for me.

I don't see the work taking more than a couple of hours but I don't have the time or patience to do it myself so I am requesting that all you graphically inclined people to contact me via IM if you are interested in earning some cash ! or you can contact me directly on my website.

Hey -

A couple of things to check:

1. The IUSR account needs NTFS Modify permissions to the cache, templates_c, & uploads directories. delete all contents from your cache & templates_c directory.
2. Double check the themes directory & make sure that the default theme is present.

Good luck & let me know how it turns out

Sadina -

It looks like the IUSR account doesn't have the proper permissions. The above mentioned account need NTFS modify permissions.

DonXoop -

Just for future reference, what they need to do is give the IUSR account Modify permissions. Giving any web account full permissions is a very bad idea....

Cheers
