one more question to wrap this up :)

Now how do I change it so the link in the Admin control panel at the top left for homw points to the proper place instead of my splash screen?

How would I go about using a splash screen that comes up before you get intot he main XOOPS website I have? I made a index.html that will come up as default and then you click on the image or click continue and you go to website but everytime I click on "Home" in the nav I go back to that splash screen. IS there a workaround for what I want?

How to get that message area in top page?

I see on the top page main page of site there is a message above everything else in the center that says:

Welcome to XOOPS official website!

If you are using the cache feature, clear cached files periodically by updating the general preferences in "system admin" => "preferences" for better performance.

what user/member table do you specify for ipb? is it ibf_members?

Is there a module that would allow you to make custom fields in the member profile area?

like for a clan site if I wanted to add in some fields for say..

Favorite map? ___

Personal Quote? ____

Favorite Movie? ____

etc etc.

I did a search and didn't come up with anything> Hope someone can help.

Keeping some configuration intact

I plan to move a XOOPS site I have on a subdomain over to the main site but I don’t want to spend all the time to configure everything again if I don’t have to. Is there some way to keep the configuration intact or copy certain files over to the new installation that will keep me from configuring everything again?

I know that there will be certain things I will have to configure but what about things like blocks and usergroup permissions, etc ?
