There is a helpful guide on the Wiki about upgrading. Head over here and I think you will find the answer you need. It really isn't too hard - as long as you haven't made too many hacks to your site.

I have really been enjoying the XSAS server for just that sort of thing. I am able to have a complete clone of my site offline and tinker and goof things up to my hearts content
To change the template back to default, just go to system admin -- preferances -- general settings. There you can change the template back to default. You can also activate any themes that you have uploaded to your theme folder.

irmtfan, I tried the search that you mentioned in your other post and it seems to work fine on my site. There may be something else wrong??? Have you turned on PHP debugging and tried it?
hmmmmmm.... I am using 2.071 and xcgal 1.1 and everthing seems to be working for my website. I wonder what the differences are? Have you turned on error checking?
