there is also a module you can get called backup, check the module downloads on this site. i use it and its slick. it will backup your tables and data, then email it to you.

make sure this module is only visible to webmaster, so set the permissions in sys admin - groups.

cheers

Do you know which options are appropriate for the downloads? There are several, and as an SQL idiot, I don't know which ones to pick.

Exactly. I don't want to change the way the redirect page looks at all, I want to remove it completely. The suggestion I made hopefully would keep the information available and at the same time never show the redirect page. It also requires minimal/no code changes through out the system. It could be introduced in an upgrade and all installed modules would still work.

I think it's a great idea.

Re: Poll Bug - If you edit you get same response

Yeah, I get something similar. The polls are all wacky on 2.0.4

The autologin feature has now been added to the core on CVS. Thanks to all who have contributed on this hack. This will be present in 2.0.4 which is to be released very soon.

Hopefully the version in the core will work. I haven't been able to get any of the hacks to work on my system, and I've noticed a couple of other people say the same thing. Makes me wonder if it's related to the state of the registers.

I'm excited to hear 2.0.4 is coming soon! (Any hints on how soon...? )

has anyone ever seen a module that taps into the numerous online dictionaries to provide word meaning lookups; Dictionaries like Websters online, or the cia factbook?

I could probably cobble something together myself, but I thought I'd check to see if soemthing was already around.

Check out what we did at www.GLOAMING.us

We have a thesauraus, dictionary, and legal dictionary that we added inside of a custom block using scripts supplied by law.com and www.m-w.com

It does not seem to be working. Are either of these hacks compatable with globals off. How com audrey's hack doesn't have a redirect and uses a change in kernal? What about the WHO's Onloine Block?

This promising feature does not seem to work...

Doesn't work on my system, either, and I've got everything set exactly as was described.

Excellent job! As always, I am incredibly impressed.

The update went without a hitch...except...on the category display page, only the current category appears in the drop down....which kinda defeats the purpose.

Other than that...WOW! You rock!

LOL@U

You can change the type of pulldown menu via the main configuration page in WF-Section admin!

Many thanks m8

Yup. I see that now.

Well, then, that's different, isn't it? I retract everything from my comment except how impressed I am and how much of a PHP god you are!

Just to report I've downloaded and installed this hack (andreyra's). it worked rigth away and so far perfectly. its umbelievable useful too IMO. Thanks again to the developer for this great hack

AUGH!!!!

I tried installing the downloaded version of Audreyra's hack, and it didn't work, either.

Bloody frickin' hell.

Is it something in the server setup?

Operating System: Linux
Apache Version: 1.3.27 (Unix)
Perl Version: 5.006001
PHP Version: 4.3.1
Mysql Version: 4.0.12

Well I'm starting to run short of ideas . I also imagine you've tried deleting all your temporary internet files, and have tried manually looking at the code in the relevant files?

Natch.

The only thing I can think is that maybe it's not compatible with the version of Apache that's running on the server, although for the life of me I can't imagine that this would really be the problem.
