The Xfsection seems to be uploading files OK.
Quote:

When I click on Download, I get blank screen and address line says:

http://mydomain.com/portal/modules/xfsection/download.php?fileid=3

The path is correct for the accessing the download.php, but evidently something is a not right. It doesn't call the file for downloading.
Quote:

The default uploads path is:
http://mydomain.com/portal/modules/xfsection/cache/uploaded/

The file is being actually uploaded into that folder (uploaded folder)

It would appear the download.php file is properly located, and the download files are properly located. So, I'm wondering if there is a hack, or something I don't know about because I've not been using this mod up to now.

I've also 777 chmod the path and files - /xfsection/cache/uploaded/*.*

Regardless, the "downloads" doesn't work and I get a blank screen.

Thank you very much, I really wanted to use this module.

I've been testing it on the x2t theme.

Still no go.

The sad part about this is...I'm using the XOOPS Core and none of the modules that come in the core package. That is, if I can't resolve this issue with the overlapping graphics.

I wasn't thinking of the WIKI as a tool for the developers.

I was thinking of the "add-ons WIKI" as an ongoing document built by users for users of the add-ons. The importance of having a WIKI is a consolidation of all the information about an add-on in one location, along with organized discussions and commentary.

A forum doesn't meet the same requirements, since forums are very loosely constructed. Title lines are obscure in many cases, and researching takes so much time with the search tools available.

Naturally, contributions from developers would be welcome.

I visualize documents created over time with viable content. Examples of mod uses, install hints, tweaks and tricks, little hacks, etc. In other words, an ongoing document constantly updated by users.

In fact, it might be good practice for XOOPS Team to make sure there is a "ADD-ON WIKI" category created when the add-on is included for download from this site. I don't think the ADD-ON WIKI should require categories for add-ons not available from this site.

> XOOPS Team <

We need a WIKI for users and developers that allows users to cover all the different modules, themes and hacks. A type of FAQ, but created by the community.

Many discussions on these boards is information that is redundant. The boards are great, but frequently responses and answers from posters come too late and incomplete.

We need a WIKI that will let everyone participate in detailed instructions, information and issues about all the different add-ons.

That's what WIKI are designed to do, is my understanding.

What about it?

I installed the XOOPS(2.0.6) then
Quote:
PHPWIKI (Version: 1.3.5cvs-1)Submitted Date: 2003/5/28, which is an XOOPS module type install.
CLICK to Bluetopia developer of the mod

I get clean install on everything, but when I click on the WIKI in the menu the screen comes up with a selection list with links. When I click on any link, doesn't matter the link I get the below message.
Quote:

Selected module does not exist!

I've tried reinstall the mod. I've updated the mod and system. Still get same error message.

Quote:
"Selected module does not exist!" ?

I've gone to the XOOPS PHPWIKI SITE FAQ

and found the below message. I made these changes in the index.php, but I still get the above message.

Quote:
Set USE_PATH_INFO to false in index.php (line 715)

if (!defined('USE_PATH_INFO')) define('USE_PATH_INFO', true);

Anyone using the PHPWIKI that might have any idea of a fix?

WF-Sections 1.0.1\Version: 1.0.1
Submitted Date: 2003/7/18

Notice

I have enabled this version of WF-Sections for download.

Please note that you use this version at your own risk as it does have some serious bugs.

This is mainly a bug fix version and corrects all issues reported at Xoops.org.

Bugs corrected in this version.

- Filemanager has been redone again, and corrects many of the issues reported.
- Pulldown menu bug fixed.
- Topics block fixed.
- Groupaccess in some blocks fixed.
- Attached files bug fixed.
- plus many more.

There was reports that the update script, incorrectly updated the articles table. This in fact incorrect, the 'orders' field was an un used feild in all previous versions and I replaced this with the 'weight' field, which is used.

Is the above a true statement NOW about the WF-Sections.

When a developer tells you straight out he's got bug in his software...he's got bugs. In other words, I believe it.

So, if the above is still true about WF-Sections I think I'll "wait a bit".

I would appreciate any suggestions for a similar mod that's working well.

news_item.html

I replaced this:
Quote:

<{$story.imglink}>

<{$story.text}>

with this:
Quote:

<{$story.imglink}>
<{$story.text}>

I then emptied the templates_c folder of the three x2t file entries.

Sorry, I even tried the x2t template. Same thing, the image drops below the bottom line.

I appreciate your response.

I wonder what is Xoops.org doing to prevent this sort of thing in the news submittals. I wonder if they're putting in a carriage return at the lower right corner of every graphic put up...

This news mod has been around since day one. I can't imagine something so common would be an issue. LOL

Need a good articles mod, and there are a few choices. I thought I'd just ask for any recommendations or comments on some of the XOOPS choices available right now.

Thanks
