I've been tweaking a couple of themes (the CSS that is)

I'd like to just rename the theme, under the themes folder.
Is this as easy as it sounds or do I need to take some special actions.

My x2t style.css doesn't even resemble the original now.

Everytime I assume something, I assume wrong. LOL

I think 7dana is probably a good referral for PaFileDB. Used by 7dana for XOOPS themes downloads.

A good XOOPS mod would be more secure, allowing uploads with admin approvals.

This is a very good database download tool. It allows for a team members to upload. It's very simple, but works flawlessly.

Use it with MultiMenu and access through direct hyperlink, since it is a standalone script (not Xoops)

Click to acquire the PAfileDB

Koudanshi Mod should do what you want to do

You can register through XOOPS or IPB. I use the IPB, because registration is much more secure.

I'm not having any problems with this mod. A year ago with earlier versions...yes, but not now.

The downloads IPB mod will probably work as well, but you may have to rebuild it. The Koudanshi IPBoard installs inside XOOPS as a Module. Dependent up on the files you have to alter for the downloads, you may be able to do a copy paste.

Put up the Xgallery 1.3.3 version and it works great, except everyone seems to have same permissions. I've tried groups in half dozen ways. Still anonymous, registered and admin all have admin permissions.

Solved it...

Filter will never do a complete job. Use filter for the most offensive words, usually about nine at most. You can stop the others with a PM or email message. Last resort IP ban.

Going through every posting is nonsense. If the poster is reported pop off a quick message and put the poster on notice. Really, it's not a big deal, if the poster wants to be a part of the community compliance will not be a problem. Otherwise, who needs'em.

Need newbb to fill whole page below header w/click to toggle?

I've been using the Koudanshi module hack for IBP to XOOPS and it has a click on to remove side menus and fill the screen below the header with the IBP board.

Currently the site I'm working on will be better suited for the Newbb than the IBP. Matching themes is an important issue, and matching up IBP with XOOPS is a chore.

I'd appreciate some links or something...

This kinda stuff is common place. They say a picture is worth a thousand words...well it sure takes up more space than a thousand words. If you have more to day you have to scroll all the way right to read the whole document.

I realize the user can do a link to the graphic, but for the life of me I can't understand why they won't.

Human nature ain't my ballywick.

Looking for a hack that will resize any images linked or uploaded into the newbb. Working on a gamer site, and most of the users don't have tools for resizing before they put up images. Large images force the whole page large size and scrolling is required to use the whole page, regardless if all the other postings are normally sized.

]THIS IS A VERY AGGRAVATING ISSUE - I NEED A FIX

Over a year ago I asked this question, using the 1.+ versions of Xoops. I was just hoping someone might have addressed the issue by now.

Oh! I'll edit the posting after awhile. Just trying to communicate my issue. Please, don't get mad about this.

This is a real issue for building sites where the users are on high speed connections, have powerful computers, and expensive video cards, etc.

Example of what I mean...

2 image manager questions

1. Is it possible to batch upload via FTP to folder image manager accesses?

2. Is there a hack to install image manager into Invision boards? I'm thinking of the image manager being easily accessible using the Koudanshi Xoops/Invision Board module.
