Hi,

I'm new to template design and hope that someone can help me with file paths.

I've cloned my default template set using the admin module and the default theme ordner with cut&paste.
I'd now like to modify my new "theme.html" file to call up the new, cloned "theme_blockleft.html" file instead of the default version.
At the moment the code in the new "theme.html" file is "<{include file="default/theme_blockleft.html"}>".
I could change this to "MyThemeName/theme_blockleft.html" but think it must be possible to use a variable containing the name of my theme folder.
Does anyone have an idea (variable name and syntax - I'm new to php too!) about how to do this?

Many thanks in advance

Alan

Hullo Alden,

I've found the solution! - At least for my server.
I'm using MS IIS with NT and the Server doesn't know what it should do with index.php files.

On my computer the link is:
- Start/Programs/Win NT Options Pack/Microsoft Personal Web Server/Internet Services Manager.

I then right-clicked on the "Standard Web Site" Icon in the tree-menu in the left window and then selected "Properties".
Click on the "Documents" Menu-Card.
I could then see that my IIS only knew to execute "Default.htm" and "Default.asp" files. You can now add "index.php" files to this list and check that the "Activate Standard Documents" box is checked.

I hope this is of use - you're probably not using IIS and if you are then I hope you can follow my English translations - I'm using a German NT here in little old Germany.

Best Wishes,

Alan

Hi,

I've the same problem - installation gave no problems and the paths in my mainfile.php are correct - i.e. without the trailing slash.
I get this with the home link and with links to most modules
Editing the links can't be the solution.
Can it lie in the php configuration?
I'm running on IIS.

Thanks in advance

Alan
