Hello,

the monxoops.fr team (french team) is seriously considering proposing the content of the site in French AND in English.

We are therefore looking for a bilingual French-English collaborator.

Criteria:
- Be driven by a desire to advance our CMS, XOOPS
- Have a correct level of French and a good level of written English.

Benefits:
- Develop the French XOOPS site internationally without distorting it and therefore making it flexible for visitors from all regions of the world
- Join a small motivated team, at the forefront in certain fields and enthusiastic to always innovate.
- Take advantage of the experience and expertise of the team to increase their skills in the use of XOOPS and associated technologies

Requests / Mission:
- Translation of the articles present
- Translation of documents present
- The layout (a bit technical because of bootstrap 4) will be managed by the team currently in place, for the moment, so one less constraint

Constraints:
This mission is a collaborative work, so we will never demand deadlines, simply priorities and objectives.

Here is.
If you are interested, you can report it in this forum or contact us here

Of course, the objective is to become complementary within the team and have autonomy if you wish!

To you !

I dont understand what you mean ?

Haa, with users's albums, they could choose some predefined categories (by admins group) ?
Tag is open, so not clean for a nice search ?

Your module is amazing !
- Gallery types
- Album types
- Watermark
- Maintenance
- Import (for compatibility with tdmpicture + extgallery)
- Feedback
- Sample data
- So many parameters in preferences page

A huge work ! Well Done

Hi,
i discovered the wggallery module by ggoffy and i fund in this module a really interesting function.

The tab "categories" !
Resized Image

Resized Image

I find it great.
I would rather call it TAG than categories but the idea is there.
We can choose, for an album, or an image, several tags.
It can be used for research as well.

It would be cool to find this functionality on other modules (publisher? News, xmnews ...)

I come to my question:

As the structure was done to add a button with data to import to quickly see how the module works,
could we not add this TAG function on the new modules?

Thank you for your update !

XOOPS needed a nice operational agenda module.
We are very close to getting it.

After "profile" is installed, the definitive title and description source is no longer the language files, it is the database. You can edit all of that in the admin area -- much easier than saving tables and reinstalling since there are only 24 fields that could be affected.

Thank you for your answer.

Yes, i mean some sentences that we couldnt modify in the admin area.

Ex : /language/english/notification.php

Quote:
// For user profile
// FIXME: These should be reworded a little...
define('_NOT_NOTIFYMETHOD', 'Notification Method When you monitor e.g. a forum, how would you like to receive notifications of updates?');
define('_NOT_METHOD_EMAIL', 'Email (use address in my profile)');
define('_NOT_METHOD_PM', 'Private Message');
define('_NOT_METHOD_DISABLE', 'Temporarily Disable');
define('_NOT_NOTIFYMODE', 'Default Notification Mode');
define('_NOT_MODE_SENDALWAYS', 'Notify me of all selected updates');
define('_NOT_MODE_SENDONCE', 'Notify me only once');
define('_NOT_MODE_SENDONCEPERLOGIN', 'Notify me once then disable until I log in again');
define('_NOT_NOTHINGTODELETE', 'There is nothing to delete.');

Ok, that was mostly a remark, something i noticed and that just doesn't work by modifying the translation files

Hi,
Regarding the translation of the profile module, its operation is strange, it differs from the other modules.

Indeed, the translation is encoded in the database in 64-bit basis.

So if I want to propose a new translation file for this module, the module does not read the translation file BUT the encoding in the database, table profile_field.

So several possibilities for an update:

- If it is at the installation of XOOPS, if the module has the correct translation, everything is easy, the profile module reads the new translation file and converts it into the DB. It is all good.

- If the profile module is ALREADY installed and used, it is more complicated.
You would have to save the profile_field table,
then uninstall and reinstall the profile module AND import the data from the profile_field table EXCEPT the umode, uorder, notify_mode, notify_method lines.

So not very practical, what do you think ?

ok,
just my 2 cents ideas...

Try to use assessment to test knowledge of the flora and fauna near this famous beach

Fun survey (xoopspol or other modules)

You can organize a photo contest with the excellent wggallery module.
1 - You impose a theme
2 - People offer photos of this beach for the competition with the imposed theme
3 - You close the proposals
4 - You open the contest for 1 week (or 1 month) by activating the votes only at that time for this album "contest"
5 - You offer a mini gift to the first 3
Many advantages:
- Lots of publicity around this event
- Many people will register to vote (good for you site)
- You can probably reuse the photos for your site, if they are free of rights

NB - Google traduction...
