you do not need to login for admin control panel, you login on your top page and then go to administration menu. once logged in you will need to call up your admin.php so use your site/modules/system/admin.php you should get your preferences menu. go to groups and set admin permissions. if this does not work, not sure what you do. hope it helps.

you can goto:http://www.fctb.org/modules/system/admin.php and under groups check permissions. you should be logged in when you call up your admin.php, i think.

yes i agree, the bcp-hosting thing is very confusing. did not take me very long to exit their site.

is there free hosts which provide sql, and what about data base security?

in the end i think you can find a very reasonable hosting package and lots provide a free domain with sign up.

i assume you mean evolved. i have tried a least 15 portal solutuions, including pre, post, and whatever nuke is out there. XOOPS is a portal system or cms as is nuke, but, in my opinion, thats where it ends.

so, for my part, it is not a question of evolution, but rather a workable solution for your needs and i stress workable. simply put, XOOPS is an excellent portal.

not sure what white spaces and nightmares you are referring to. one simply needs to be creative, and XOOPS provides all the tools to be the same.

the module "free content" is working good for me. if you have any questions once you try it let me know. you may want to rename before upload.
