Hi. I'm Crip (aka sailjapan). Another relative XOOPS newbie, with about 3 years of running a single XOOPS based site. I'm not a programmer nor a web designer, but I've managed to tweak my site to how I want it and think that if I can do it, just about anyone else could too.

I'd like to offer some of my free time to XOOPS. I would be honoured to be considered for the role of co-Tea-Boy with John V in the Community Co-ordination department

Professional experience mainly in education, with a few years of liaising between the Japanese and English speaking sides of a small IT company. I also sail.

phppp mis-typed the name. He should have written LifeType.
It seems that there are moves afoot to modularize this for XOOPS over amongst the folk at xoops.org.cn. Can't read Chinese though, so I'm not much the wiser for knowing this.
Since writting here, I have established that Xpress2.04MU does NOT provide for multiple blogs. Only multiple users. This is not a port of WordPress MU (which is at v.1) but rather a hack of regular WordPress 2.04. There are some folk (also Chinese) trying to hack the real MU to work with Xoops, but again my lack of Chinese hinders my understanding of how far along they've come.

the weekend? busy!
try and get Xpress 2.04MU working Sat. morning (note to self: it's morning already!)
Friend's b'day party at an Okinawan Pub down town Saturday evening/night, to bed before 2am if possible.

Up at 06:00 Sunday, check the site then head out for a day's sailing with friends.

this weather makes for great sailing
