Hi,

Thank you for that - but what I wanted to do, is do it the "other way"..

Import Xoops into a Wordpress Theme.

How would I do that ?

Many thanks.

Hi All,

What I want is a membership area for people (users + administrators) to log in with user name and password to access the various sections of Xoops.

Can I make the User Profile Module as the main membership log in screen on the main home page ?

Will administrators & users also be able to log in with this panel ?

Any help greatly appreciated.

The way it is set up right now, is an back-end administrator has the top menu (to log in) with user menu 'open' below.

How do I block the back-end administrator menu (top menu on default theme) - so only the users / or administrators can log in on the bottom menu to see the relevant info for them ?

Please help. Thank you.

Hi All,
I own and operate a web business and love xoops. I am now trying to set up modules etc for my client.

Can someone please respond and let me know the following:
This is what I need to do: Create a administrators/members area for a church. Key people in the parish want to edit parish lists, rosts (who served coffee on sunday, taught sunday school etc.), edit groups + members. Add/upload documents, etc.

2 websites will be built - a Public site created with Wordpress, and an admin/member site created with Xoops.

With Xoops - I need to know the following:

1) Can data in a .csv format (or another format ?) be imported into Xoops ? - How ? Will it automatically go into the right sections (i.e. parish lists, groups, users)?

2) I will be using Xoops for church management - parish lists, users, groups, documents = administrators (key people in parish) need to be able to edit lists, users, groups, etc.
What exact modules do I need ? Can someone point me in the right direction ?

Need this responded to asap please + Thank you so much. A wonderful group of people and a LOVE Xoops.

Hi All,

I own + operate a web business and Love Xoops.

I am working on a very large advanced/membership site which will be connected/linked to a wordpress main website.

Please tell me if the Xoops site - log in screen - can be incorporated into the Wordpress theme or template I am using ?

Once the client/administrator logs in - can the main site be built into a wordpress theme ?

If so, how exactly do I do this?

Thanks so much.

Temporary URL to run XOOPS

Hello,

I own and operate a web business and absolutely LOVE Xoops.

I need help with the following, and hope for some urgent replies.

I have installed Xoops sucessfully on my server. Everything works fine. I put xoops in the /members directory - but am currently using a temporary link / URL, until the domain name is transfered over to the same hosting company.

In this case, would I need to change all the settings for XOOPS to the true domain once the domain is transfered - or can I leave everything as is, and everything will fall naturally into place (where no changes are needed to the domain or settings - mainfile.php).

I am really hoping on a temporary URL Xoops will still work once the domain is transfered and nothing will need to be changed.

If things need to be changed, can I set xoops up on a temporary URL and somehow back - it up, so I don't loose anything and then when the domain is transfered - set xoops up again and import my changes ?

Any help with this greatly appreciated. Thank you.
