Re: Installed on local machine but can't seem to log in

I briefly saw the same when I quickly set-up a site for fun. It was the hostname in the mainfile.php file not matching the URL I used to login. Pass login and the site redirects to the URL in the mainfile.php. If it doesn't match it doesn't know you're logged in. Cookie thing?

Re: ChatMX is available now! - New Chat module

Great app and nice to avoid the 3rd party spy chat servers. There are a few bugs though.
Tonight I walked away for 45 minutes and left chat running so I'd hear when my partner came online. When I came back I had been locked out because it had triggered the AntiDoS module. I had to come in via a different IP to unlock myself. Oops.

Re: Right column

If you make a copy of the theme directory you like as a start and work from there you can do what you want. The theme.html file holds the general structure and the .css file(s) for the rest. You should see the right column etc sections.

After you make a copy go into Admin/Prefs and select your new theme as a selectable theme or as default and you can modify away.

For code that isn't in the themes you can look at a page source and find the areas like forms etc. and you can see the style being applied from the core. Do your tricks in the theme .css file and away you go.

Re: Event Registration- to Microsoft Access database

Glad to have helped. I'm an Xoo newbie myself but I like it and am able to make it fit my humble needs. So when I think I have an answer I'm happy to offer help.

Re: WF-Sections Problem (Catzwolf?)

I don't entirely agree that his sites are anything special but that isn't my worry or concern. I've seen much worse so yeah, he has a stake in getting it right but his social skills are so warped it isn't worth trying to help anymore. Or should I say already instead of anymore. Wore his welcome out faster than anyone I've seen that actually used a project.

Maybe if we ignore him he'll go away.

Re: Event Registration- to Microsoft Access database

That one is easy. Look in modules/contact/language/<your lang>/main.php . All the lingo is there for you. Just stay within the quotes and you can get it done without blowing it up.

In Admin / Modules you can also change the menu item text. Change the "Contact Us" line and submit the change.

When the devs themselves don't know what their own mods do and put out mods they recommend I use only to find out that 3 months after the mod has been released has bany bugs and does not in fact do or work as it was sugested it does, you're damn right I will complain.

Um, I don't think so. Sorry it didn't work out for you. bye bye.

He must be keeping that keyboard hot with a manifesto of a reply. Oh please, don't, my brain will hurt if you do....

The one and only, the Max. So enlightened and sure about things.

Max we don't care what planet or dimension you claim to be from or what you believe in or don't. Doesn't make a difference in code. In source. In Open Source. It is what you put out there right here. That sucks. The rest of it sucks too but it doesn't concern this project in the least.

Add it up, it equals a fraud.

Yeah, that must be it. never mind any valid points and bugs I point out. Criticising has become anathema in the world of "politically correct"

Geeee wiz. You are right, that must be it.

Oh that is rich. Rarely been accused of being political or correct and never in the same sentence.....

Oh that was a good one. At least I'm keeping the pointless crud in one thread so it doesn't pollute the rest of space.

Then is has many small bugs which should be easy to fix. It has been many moons since it was released and not one of the bugs has been fixed.

So fix them.

This is what you like, someone to chase you around like the puppy that keeps peeing on the floor.

Oh look, little Maxy left us a present on the rug. Isn't that cute? NO, IT ISN'T.
