I don't know about multiple blogs, but I am using wordpress ME 0.33 on a site and it works fine. It supports multiple users on the same blog, but not multiple blogs. I set it up but am not the person using it, but have heard no complaints from the user.

PS I am using 2.0.16

First thing I would try is to open the block template in your html editor. I would try to figure out where the teaser is displayed and add the shorcut (click to read the whole article) immediately after. You are looking to have that link go to the same place as clicking the headline so you can copy the shortcut code from there.

Just a thought.

Hi guys,

I have been using XOOPS for a couple of years now and found these forums very useful. I have just completed 2 projects that I would appreciate some constructive criticism on.

http://ChurchThatCares.org -This is a church with a very extensive members section. There are about 18 modules in here and it is updated daily. The calendar is a google calendar (actually 9 calendars merged) hacked to display the way i wanted. The theme is a very modified Kubrick Flexible (kavaxtreme). We have about 300 registered members on the site.

http://KreiterGeartech.com - this site is also a modified Kubrick Flexible theme that uses quite a bit of embedded flash. This site is much more static and has no members area. The news is really the only thing that is frequently updated.

http://xoops.mattregister.com - My test site. I kind of like my flash header. (that is really the only cool thing on there.

I am always looking to improve them. Let me know what you think.

don't display topics in news

I would like to turn off the topic display in my news module.

I am using the News module 1.44 and XOOPS 2.0.16

Currently every news story's title is displayed as "Topic : Headline". I only have one topic category and I can't seem to find how to get this to display only the headline. The viewers get to the module by clicking on the News link (mysite.com/modules/news) or by linking directly to a story from various places in the site.

This is what I am talking about:http://rlchome.org/modules/news

I would appreciate any help.

Simon,
I have just (mostly) completed the same project. We developed a church community with the news, downloads, picture gallery, video gallery, debaser (for recordings of the sermons), icontent (for static html content), liaise, wordpress (pastor's blog), weblinks, and booklists modules (all tied together with rssfit to syndicate them). We also added a google calendar (without the logos) to the page where the church staff can change the calendar and it changes the site instantly. Feel free to shoot me an e-mail if you have any questions about this and i would be happy to point you in the right direction.

PS an easy way to have pictures and be aware of child safety is to have it in the "member's only" area. With the use of iframes, it is easy to add other content if you find another open source program that handles something better than xoops.

I have been using the evennews module for that with some success for my church's weekly newsletter on their site. A slight modification to the sign up form allows anonymous sign up to the mail list by providing only an e-mail address and thir name and you can send the newsletter via e-mail to the list. Hope that helps.

I am trying to figure out a way I can not give new users the option to not accept administrator emails. taking away the option on the form is not as hard as making sure the default is "yes". People only register for my site to get on a newsletter mailing list and it makes it hard when they check no and I have to change them manually.

any thoughts?

Is there any way to make it so only registered users can post comments but all can read comments?
