I changed my email address and want to have this change reflected in my profile settings. But this field is read only. Can a site admin help me?

Turning debugging on does,'t help - the blank is truly blank - a null HTML output.

Спасибо.

The server is a Pentium4 PC with 1 GB RAM, top shows about 10 proc. CPU utilization, no swapping.
The problem occurs when I am the only client, noone else is accessing the server.

Changing max_execution_time doesn't help.

Disabling protector helped so that blank appeared after 10 instead of 5 reloads. The problem must come from something else.

Please give me some hint what should I check.

I have a small internal XOOPS-based site, hosted on a PC with Linux. When it is a little bit more utilized, it gets "throttled" - gives absolutely blank page, with no error messagess (regardless of debug settings), just null. After a few dozens of seconds (30-60) page becomes accessible again, until again it is reloaded / changed too quickly.

With an extcal main page, I try doing subsequent reloads - after about 4 - 5 reloads page goes blank until I wait about a minute, then I can succesfully reload.

It seems to be only a XOOPS problem, because when it is hanging, I could load other simple pages (say containing phpinfo() ).

I tried changing host system - changing Linux distribution didn't help. Neither clearing XOOPS cache nor repairing DB tables (from admin maintenaince page). The problem occured before and after upgrading XOOPS from 2.3.3 to 2.5.1a.

Any hint appreciated. Thanks!

Is AMS module alive?

Is AMS module alive? Since last release in March 2010 there were some bugs reported, some questions asked and there is no answer. The author's NovaSmart last login was in November 2010.

I like this module, especially it's Spotlight feature. But I don't want to be left alone as it was with wf-Section some time ago.

Or is there other recommended news module?

I have the same issue. Debug reports no errors.

I found out that commenting out call of function
AMS_updateCache()
in blocks/AMS_spotlight.php (line 80)
makes the block edit page appear.

At the moment I don't know what are consequences of turning out that call. I tried making changes on block settings page a few times and yet everything seems work correctly.

It's so simple - just have to reinstall (update) the System module
(the list of editors is created from xoops_version.php, which is processed during module installation; it is created based on directory listing of /class/xoops/xoopseditor).

Now I start verifying that new editor really works in commens and modules.

Maybe I am asking for something so obvious, that no one has explicitely written before.
What should I do to have a new editor working?

I have XOOPS 2.5.1a and AMS 3.0 and I am trying to add FCKeditor 2.6.6 available from xoopseditorsALL package.
As I understood descriptions, all I have to do ist to copy the fckeditor directory into /class/xoopseditor.
I did so but I can't see the new editor neither in AMS admin page nor in Module config options page.
What is missing and how can I verify that a new editor is correctly installed?
