Here here! This is something I've suggested for a long time. Xoops.org is functional but does nothing to show off the "power under the hood".

Not much else to say but "BUMP" - I'd like to keep this topic active until we build some momentum.

CBB - Editing HP/MP/EXP

Hey all,

I am trying to figure out which of the templates or php files controlls the appearance of HP/MP/EXP in CBB (and presumably newbb2 as well).

I only want to show the EXP bar along with the level.

This is exactly the same thing that is happening to me. Someone is able to spam the shoutbox even though guest posting is OFF (though posts show).

Help? Solution?

I totally agree with previous comments. Looks great...once it loads. I have a 3MB connection and it took way too long.

I would use what has already been suggested to keep the feel but minimize the weight of the top graphic.

Also you may want to rethink the font in that first block - it's a a bit hard to read on the screen.

Otherwise - very nicely done.

Hey all,

This is a stupid question...but I avoided going to 2.0.9.2 because of earlier trouble commentary.

Has this been resolved yet? I need to update my site and want to know the best way to get to 2.0.9.2 without killing anything...

I also noticed in the patch there there is not an upgrade script - so just upload and update the system module? That's it for this one?

Well someone could pay you to modify/enhance the module. It is my understanding that you (or the payer) are not under any obligation to release that modification to the community.

However, if the mod was also released then it becomes GPL...and thus free for others to modify and enhance. That's is the spirit of open source development IMHO. Free speech not free beer...

And that is exactly the spirit I want to see. There will be many themes and modules being developed by capable folks for fun and for personal goals that are useful to the community. Or even to showcase talents...

However, there are folks (like me) who don't want to code in that depth - so I'm happy to pay for my development and release it back so that others can build on my contributions in that way.

I'm glad this discussion has turned productive....

Let's come up with a fixed proposal and feature list. And then we'll shop it on the community.

I can throw in say $100 or so. It'd be huge.

I bet we could come up with $1000 to have it developed.
