WFDownloads Local file?

This may seem like a silly question.... but in WFDownloads when I add a file, I have the option of putting a remote URL in (which is what i am currently doing even though the files are hosted on my site) But how does the local file work...what path do i put in there, ive tried several things but i really dont know. Could anyone help me out?

Ahh, it's fixed now, I just replaced the theme files completely with some originals and reset the template, guess there was a bogus colour code somewhere

Right in the middle, where the logo is, the custom block there has a dark blue background and seems to be overlapping the border on the left hand side. Does anyone know why this is happenning and what I can do about it? The theme is a very slightly modified zetagenesis. (Only with image replacements)

EDIT: Managed to get the uploads working as I didn't understand the 'absolute' path idea before, however still need help RE: Category permissions and admin validation.

Couple of questions I wondered if ayone could answer:

1) When I submit a file it doesn't show up on the FTP (the folder is 777 chmodded) or in my admin submitted files category. The only thing I can think of is that my 'ABSOLUTE' path is wrong, it's currently:

/modules/wfdownloads/downloads/usersubmissions

But it isn't working. Any ideas?

Secondly, how can I make it so users can only submit into a certain category/categories (assuming I can get it working at all) and how can I make it so admin validation is NOT required? Cheers for any help

It's for a friend who wants it, and we have the web server admin stuff, but we just don't know how to do it. He said something about thumbnails not being made in proper colour in GD/GD2 or something like that?

Not sure if this counts as a module - but how on earth do I install this? For a beginner there's surprisingly little helpful guidance as most of it assume technical knowledge of terms and things that I don't understand. Does anyone have a straightforward step-by-step guide for installing it?

Ah, well I do definitely have that version, so I copied and re-pasted the default template file, made the original modifications and now it's all good Thanks for the help!
