Max to session expiration time?

Is there a max to the session expiration time which can be set in the admin?

Some side info: I use the autologin hack. The reason I want to extend the session expiration time is to give visitors more time to write their contributions. Right now people sometimes see their work deleted because at the moment they press the post button they are not logged in anymore. The autologin hack does not help with this.

I have extended the session expiration time but it does not have any effect.

I read the FAQ on controlling login session time. This raises the question: how many users can be online concurrently?

I set "Use custom session" to Yes.

In the admin settings it tells me that the session expiration time can only be altered if php_native is off, but where can I find php native in order to check this?

Hi Yero. You state you found the solution in the thread you refer to. Did you install the hack that is described in that thread and did that do the trick? Or did you do something else?
Thanks!

I found the answer on the website of GIJOE. I visited it before but since I don't understand Japanese I went away quickly. However, I found out that the site has a XOOPS area which is completely in english. In that forum I found the answer to my question.

In short: the reason that visitors are redirected to the main page is because of security reasons. When the new XOOPS core token system is released (2.0.10) the hack will be adjusted. The user will no longer be redirected to the homepage then.

For the complete answer, visit this thread on GIJOE's website.

Jijoe's auto-login - always to homepage?

I Have a question on Jijoe's autologin hack.

I have installed the hack on my site. When I am not logged in the hack loggs me in automatically. This is as expected. However, when it loggs me in it always takes me to the homepage of my website.

The main problem with this occurs when a user writes a long post on our forum and tries to post it. If the user is not logged in anymore, the hack loggs the user in and redirects the user to the homepage. The post is gone and the user has to rewrite it.

Is this behaviour as expected or should the autologin behave differently?

Thank you for your help!

I was not clear enough.

I mean the font type used for the text on the edit, reply, quote etc. buttons.

I want to change one or two buttons of NewBB. I need to know which font is used for them. Otherwise I have to redo them all, and that's not what I want.

Can anyone tell me which font is used for the text on the newBB buttons?

Thanks! I have installed it.

The width and height are now saved and remembered.

The extra image manager button (wysiwyg) still isn't there. Should I update the image manager for this?

Thanks again.

This definitely is a new version! It looks good!

Some remarks:

The width and height as set during creation of the table are not stored.

The extra image manager button (wysiwyg) still isn't there.

Windows like the "Insert Table" and "Table properties" are not big enough to show all contents.
