1) Could I request to include my module :
Article Management System into the Module Packs?

2) When actually the deadline? "AMS 3.0 SEO" should be ready next month, so i hope it can be included. If not, AMS 2.52 should working fine on XOOPS 2.4.x but I'll do more testing.

p/s: AMS 3.0 currently under stability & security testing for XOOPS 2.4.x and looks fine until now. It had been used inhttp://xoops.novasmarttechnology.com for > 3 months.

the problem should lies behind the html coding. It shouldn't be a big problem. I'll take a look and come out with quick patch for u. Sorry not so responsive since we quite busy with our commercial project now. Send directly to the email like you done usually works to make us wake up :).

Marco.. your explanation does make sense.

Actually I never move my cache or template_c to other directory since i didn't see any need to do that, but after hear your explanation, maybe I need to agree to the certain extend.

However, what's the different having cache to be hidden in external directory to ensure the security but we have mainfile.php which contain very critical information, open to the world ?

From my opinion, if we really need to move our code to external directory in order to ensure the security, i believe we need to start with mainfile.php. Do I say the right thing ?

Don't get me wrong when I open this thread. I don't want to argue with anyone... just to get better understanding about XOOPS decission, learning from expert and sharing opinion.

I still think better to retain same directpry stucture will al previous version in order to retain uniformity.

I really hope any core developer (phppp) can answer this question.

I dislike new cache directory structure in XOOPS 2.3.x. Why XOOPS 2.3.x need to use /xoops_data/caches instead of /cache like all previous version ? I believe we need to maintain same directory structure except truly needed. Could someone explain to me ?

Hi.. i like the new XOOPS documentation format, however i strongly disagree with the grey border location keep changing to left and to right. Better stick to left or right only. It look more professional and didn't confuse the reader.

important point for some user is version of their wp blog only

when we tell them: (( you can use XOOPS WordPress module in your weblog and enjoy XOOPS features )) they say (( XOOPS WordPress module is old version of wp and we like use last version of wp))

I think if you can import last version of wp to XOOPS many users use XOOPS for their weblog.

Wordpress 2.0.x to WordPress 2.6.x have tons of changes and almost totally new script for me. I know its important and i know it's great to have WordPress 2.6.x inside xoops, but the problem is; who have time to develop it.

I believe phppp busy with XOOPS core development, and myself busy with daily NovaSmart task and XOOPS AMS module. I believe trabis also have his hand tied with other commitment, that's why he didn't update wordpress module for quite sometimes.

I don't say to get wordpress 2.6.x is impossible, but it need significant effort and just a few xoopster want to lend his/her hand to help it.

Give me :
- 100 people sign the petition that want wordpress 2.6.x to be available in XOOPS + ready to donate USD 10 per person to NovaSmart
- 2-3 wordpress development tester who familiar with Wordpress and know almost all Wordpress 2.6.x function

and i can consider to champion the effort.

Could you share what is the bug you encounter and how your solution ? I can upload it into XOOPS SVN.

I agree that bugs that I fixed only on WordPress itself, not WordPress modules.

I don't know if tyhis can solve your problem or not. Try to upgrade to XPRESS 2.11.0 that i update from xoopsforge XPRESS 2.05. There is no guarantee it is bug free, so please try on localhost 1st.
