@ghia,

I did not use xlanguage.

The language i use is english

I'd tried changing the code below in global.php to

define('_CHARSET', 'ISO-8859-1');

and did not change anything else, now it works, funny

anyway thanks ghia, really apreciate your reply, there is some other problem need your answer on my other site, will post the question later.

Hi ghia,

In my database from phpMyadmin,
MySQL connection collation: utf8_general_ci

Server: Localhost via UNIX socket
Server version: 5.0.89-community
Protocol version: 10
User: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
MySQL charset: UTF-8 Unicode (utf8)
MySQL client version: 5.0.89

In mainfile.php:
if (defined("XOOPS_DB_CHARSET")) die('Restricted Access');
define('XOOPS_DB_CHARSET', 'utf8');

In global.php:
define('_CHARSET', 'UTF-8');
define('_LANGCODE', 'en');

What should i change here.

Currently i'm using content v0.5 that i have change the code to comply with php v5.x

The module using fckeditor with Universal keybord where i can type in english & arabic. When i start using xoops 2.4.4 & using the same module, whenever i save the content the arabic language turned to ??? (question marks).

Same thing happend when i use block (custome block).
I believe it has something to do with xoops editor.

Then i use xoops 2.0.18 with php 5, i can log in but i can't access administration menu.

I'm totally puzzled at the moment. What should i do.

TIA

@mowaffaq

Thanks but i've tried the module before.
since the server that i'm using already have squirrelmail, i guess i do not need another email system in my server, just an interface or code for any registered user to use to create their email account.
To hack the module will take sometime, if u know which file in the module to look at , i will give a try.

Absolutlely right Aphex.
Love the idea,hope this will attract more theme designer to respond and module developer as well.

In the XOOPS 2.5 under the template manager, would be great if XOOPS editor is use for theme editing and to include the clear cache function on the same page (the clear cache which is under maintenance).

Agree and i've read about what Aphex did as well.

The idea is not to change the entire theme.
At least the changes can be made for the colors, background images etc. in the css file (like changing the css file in friendster.com) and the header of the theme.html (if let say using a flash file for the header) .

Maybe Aphex's idea can be implimented in themes module too.
