I'm using EasyWeb to create my start up page. I want to include the headlines of my News module in the page. Using an iFrame I can insert it but it will display the whole website with columns and menus. All I want is the News Headlines...

What do I need to modify from the news/index.php or other file to do this?

I tried deleting the include line of the header & footer but then the page would not display at all.

What files to look for language translation?

I'm running XOOPS 2.0.16 and would like to know which files to look for and edit to change the language it displays to spanish. I've found that the spanish translation found here are not accurate and further more not all words used in latin countries mean the same.

Where can I find the files I need to edit for
Xoops 2.0.16, News 1.53 and system modules?

Ok, I accidentally deleted the module from the server. I uploaded the files again to follow the steps to de-activated and un-install. It confirms module was de=activated but when try to un-install the page goes blank.

Is there a way to manually remove the module so I can make a fresh install of the module?

One databse/table on multiple xoops sites?

Can this be done? Basically what I need is to have 3-4 domains with XOOPS running. The trick is that I need them to have the same database for users.

For example a new user that registers on xoops-site-one.com would show up in the New Members block of xoops-site-two.com and xoops-site-three.com, as well as users registering on one site could log-in on the other sites with the same login info.

I've read the topic on How can i share tables between sites with MySQL? but basically what I need is to have one databse that could be access by various domains...

Any suggestion? Ideas?

I edited the mainfile.php as said in the instruction. he module does not appear in the module administration page. Instead the following error display between the installed modules list and the uploaded un-installed modules "Module File for _vti_cnf Not Found!Module File for Not Found!Module File for Not Found!Module File for Not Found!Module File for Not Found!Module File for Not Found set XOOPS_TRUST_PATH into mainfile.php"

How can I define XOOPS_TRUST_PATH into mainfile.php ?

I'm not XOOPS technical oriented so any help in plain english would be greatly appreciated.

I created the folder alongside the public_html directory, but encountered the following problem while uploading files to the sub directory filters_disabled " Filename too long. Please try again "

Any Suggestons? a workaround? could these directories be created inside the public_ftp or would it compromise the security features as well?

I uploaded all .php files from the root and /module/system from the back up previous to the changes that caused the problem and still that did'nt fix it.

After 4 more hours I decided to ran the table repair command from phpMyAdmin to:

xoops_config
xoops_configcategory
xoops_configoption
xoops_group_permission
xoops_groups
xoops_groups_users_link
xoops_modules
xoops_session
xoops_users
xoopsfc_config
xoopsfc_config_instances
xoopsfc_config_values

To my surprise that restored my XOOPS functinality to normal. Previously I did repair _config and _session and the problem persisted so my guess is it was some of the other tables, to tired to keep on testing.

What I don't understand is if there was a corrupted table why it wasn't repair when I restored the database back-up?

I tried to install Flash Chat but could not get it to work. I decided to un-install and now nobody can't login to the site.

When I try to login in user.php will display
Thank you for logging in, admin. and will go back to login page. I was using the Easyweb(page) 2.0 for XOOPS2 module wich redirects my default page to the one I created without problem.

I'm almost shure this module is not the problem but would like to deactivate. Can I deactivate this module without login in as admin?

If i try to access admin.php it will display:
Sorry, you don't have the permission to access this area

I've restored a database back-up made before de Flash Chat installation and the problem persist. I'm a XOOPS iliterate but my best guess is some sort of index or config php file was over written. Any help or advice would be fully appreciated.

I have a complete site back up as well as a complete databse back up.

I'm using XOOPS 2.0.16 on an IpowerWeb server running MySQL Ver 12.22 Distrib 4.0.16 & PHP 4.4.1

Can flash chat be integrated with the XOOPS user database?
I saw you have to separate log-in in the pop-up even if your logged in in your XOOPS site.

Can this be done?

I need an extended profile module where users can fill out a pre-defined form to create their Poker Player Profile.
We are using the profile module but does not have interaction with the user.
