I install 2.0.18.1 system to the new server first. Then install the modules and import SQL tables one by one.

Hi

I have a site at the moment based on 2.13. Although there are some problems with some modules in the admin section, but the site is working fine. However, due to the fact that I am moving server (new IP address), I would like to install the latest version of XOOPS then import the old site to the new server.

Can any one tell me what is the best procedure to do this?

I set up the site (v 2.0.18.1) on the new server first, because the old site still running on old server, I use the new ip address to install and test the new site on the new server.

Now, shall I install each module then import their SQL database to the new site one by one? or shall I import the whole database at once to the new site? I want to install as clean as possible.

The modules I installed:
system 2.13
Private messaging 0.1
Extended Profiles 0.1
AMS 2.41
Articles 0.84
Survey 0.5
Contact us 1
Content 0.5
Index 1.01
CBB 3.01
News 1.42
XLanguage 2.06
Xoops Protector 2.52
SmartFAQ 1.04
Xoops Iconv 1.6
Polls 1
Liaise 1.5

Thanks in advance

Hi

Completely new XOOPS 2.0.17 fresh installation, first module to install - protector3. I am having problem on define XOOPS_TRUST_PATH.

Following the readme file comes with the protector download. (It says):

First, define XOOPS_TRUST_PATH into mainfile.php if you've never done it yet.

1. I modified the mainfile.php by added a new line:
define('XOOPS_TRUST_PATH', '/home/xxxxx/public_html/anotherfolder');

Just after:

define('XOOPS_ROOT_PATH', '/home/xxxxx/public_html/xoops_site_folder');

2. I upload all contents in XOOPS_TRUST_PATH to home/xxxxx/public_html/anotherfolder and upload all contents of protector folder in html/modules folder to /home/xxxxx/public_html/xoops_site_folder

3. When I login as admin and go to mudles admin page, I get an error message:
set XOOPS_TRUST_PATH into mainfile.php

Can anyone tell me what have I done wrong?

Thank you

I am having a slightly different problem. XOOPS 2.2.4. All contents I put on the new custom block are appearing in the Language block.

Language block settings: for all user on all frontsite pages, left column (system level)
New custom block settings: for webmaster only on adminfront page, right column (system level).

The fact is, even the Anonymous Users can see the content of the custom block within the Language block (just below the flags) on the front page. The custom block also shown in the admin front page as I intended.

Can anyone help me on this? The content of this custom block are for webmasters only, quick links to different edit points of the site.

Thanks in advance!

Hi

Is there anyway I can remove "incl. 0 %" and "plus. Shipping" in the product listing? because I am not charge tax and all prices are included shipping anyway.

Thanks

Hi jensclas,

It just the simply module called "Content" I think Biteronboard pointed out there is no image management in it and I can use FTP to upload images and use html (url) to link it up, it just that I try to avoid to use ftp for someone who admin the site.

I will try out your wf section idea.

Thanks for that.

Hi jensclas,

Thanks for your reply.

I created the category via the image admin not FTP.

Following your tips, I managed to use the image manager in both News and Article module. But I can't find the image manager in the Content module. Just wondering is I need to install something to support this feature.

Thanks
