It may not be exactly what you are looking for, probably not what you are looking for; but can you not just use .htaccess mod rewrite?

I like this idea and would love to see it in the future, although I do agree with 'peekay' on some points, especially losing control to completelely customise it. Maybe an option to have it completely manual(as it is now) or automated(as you are proposing)?

I will not say much on the subject apart from that!

Extra Fields, Yogurt and CBB3

Could anyone tell me how I can add a new field to the user profile, I am using yogurt. But also, i need that field to show in CBB3. Like this one I took from another type of forum:

I need my members to be able to add what type of car they have, and for it to show below their location in the forum.

I am sorry if this sounds a but random, I am at a loose end and am not sure what to do so any advice would be appreciated.
I have just had a new user register on my site with the username 'trogen', as soon as I saw it I thought of 'trojan'. I checked their email address and it looks like a randomly generated hotmail one, very similar to this - gt773i2135@hotmail - (I just changed every letter and number for something else,and removed the .com).

The problem being, I could ban them, however if they are genuine I would have lost a member which means a lot as I am in VERY close competition with a similar genre site.

What should I do? I don't suppose there is a module or another php script somewhere which will track a users activity and tell me if they do something they should not? Maybe one i could put on the server which tracks everything the user from that IP address does on my site? But obviously the IP address will probably change if it is a hacker/cracker.

let me know your thoughts, what you would do, anyone!

Problem with Content 1.1 by MusS

Hi all,
I have a problem with the content module (v 1.1) by MusS

I have managed to get the koivi editor and all other editors working in the admin section of the site, but after using koivi to create a content page, when you go to view it, it is just displaying the html code. So I am guessing it is not translating the code to content for some reason? Does anyone know what I can do to fix this, the site needs to go live in 2 days and I cannot find a problem anywhere.

Any help would be appreciated

Hi tom, thanks for the reply. I have PM'd you my msn.

They just keep registering new free addresses from various place to register, I get weird ones like 4gvg324vh443@25673.com, so it is uncontrollable from that aspect, I did try the exact domain in the word censor but it doesn't seem to work, I just tried again and still no luck.

I have just had to delete another post from them and delete user again. It is very stressful. As I have to keep my eye on the site 24/7

Also, another thing. I have tried using the word censor and putting the URL there, but it does not work.

I cannot use the IP blocker as they are using proxy sites and IP scrambler.

Is there any way of blocking 1 or 2 url's in CBB 3?

There is one site (my competition) that I need to block someone posting a link to their site. I have people from the site registering and posting a link to their website, which is destroying my site.
Is there a way I can stop this one URL from being posted?

I need to still allow other people to post links to sites like ebay and useful sites, but just not this one. Is there any way of doing this? Even hacking the core files? I am not fluent with PHP, but I am sure someone with the know-how can do it.

Sounds good, I hope it turns out ok.

I have a couple of small requests, on IPB forums, the Private messaging has a monitor as to how full your inbox is in the form of an image and changes percentage etc...

and the other is an optional(via admin) popup alerting users of messages, as a lot of my users don't realise they have a message sometimes.

This would be the only things I can think of not in the current one and not in your list.
