Virtually everyone here would agree with me in saying that using such an old version of XOOPS is a bad, bad idea.

If you have any knowledge of HTML/CSS or just code in general then it would not take you long to make the theme 2.0.x compatible. Trust me, it WILL be worth the initial hassle. I'm sure you can understand why using an outdated peice of software is a bad idea.

Which XOOPS version?

Have you unzipped the module file? You should then be given the whole structure of files.

Go into phpmyadmin (hopefully your host won't be so crappy that it doesn't use this) and search for a few words that are in the contents of one of your news posts. You can then find out the place in the DB which stores these posts. Fiddle around with phpmyadmin and you should be able to copy and paste each one of them directly from there.

Hope this helps...

I hate ASP VBScript - I've been trying to use it the last few days while maintaining a site built by someone else. It's an ugly language with bizarre syntax. ASP.NET on the other hand, is excellent, though PHP is the more flexible.

I was having a similar problem the other day. It turned out that I had to use my host's control panel to create an .htpasswd file - they do not allow the manual insertion of .htaccess files. Ask your host about it.

I agree^

My only moan is that the myalbum templates could do with an editing - I think there are too many little icons for each picture.

I did a bit of rocketry once. I built a three stager (one D, one C and an A) and never saw it again after it went through the clouds

*bumpety bump*

Apologies for the complete lack of XOOPS relevance...

Cheers nekro

OK, I've done that, but now whenever I try to cc search.c, I get:
search.c:1:19: error: stdio.h: No such file or directory
search.c: In function ‘main’:
search.c:7: warning: incompatible implicit declaration of built-in function ‘printf’

Do I need to install the standard i/o library?
Any ideas on where I can find this among others?
