the code works perfect in its own enviroment ie: when u actually type in the url to the php file
it even displays as it should by using an iframe but trying to use include simply does not show anything or an error regards 'unexpected '

i too wanted to display a php page within the page blocks but no matter what tags i used
eg:
<?php include'/path/to/working/mypage.php'); ?>
does not work, nor does setting it to php in the content editor and then inputting

include'/path/to/working/mypage.php');

nothihng works..the only way i have managed to display the php so far is by using an iframe, which i do not want

any ideas for a work around?

i have managed to hack it so i have google adsense on the top of the very first post in topic and also hacked it to employ a social bookmarking script at the very bottom of every 1st post , so people can 'digg it' etc

just seems to be a shame it isnt able to show a few 'related topics' links at the very bottom also

has'nt anyone got any idea how this can be done by doing a a search of the topics title and then linking the posts?

would be a good little hack for ppl

cheers

hello,
i am just enquiring as to whether there is a forum hack that will place at the bottom of each topic/post automatically a link to related topics, perhaps using a search of the forums titles nd placinf the links to the other topics

iam currently using cbb version 3.08
anyone know of such a hack? if not how hard do you think it would be to make it so?

all the best

this is a well known problem thats been around since at least 2.0.16.0 and for some unknow reason the 'experts' avoid it like the plague

take for instance i have just updated from 2.0.18.1 RC to 2.0.18.1 and ..guess what
nobody can log in , ohh yes it says thankyou for logging in , yet returns you to the main page as if you have never even tried to login
i had hoped they would fix it, but no luck again, it beats me what the heck they have done and i cannot imagine why they carry on as if nothing is wrong

ohh btw anyone else reading this who has done the same as me and updated and cannot login, just replace the new session.php with the 2.0.18.1 one you backed up and you can at least login, but not for long as it will kick you out whenever it feels like it :)
shyte really and amazing how it gets hidden or removed from the face of the earth (ok these forums ) if you whinge about it too much

This is a major problem with XOOPS since( as far as the same prob with me) XOOPS 2.0.17.* began

its something that the XOOPS team have pretty much ignored , telling people to simply use FF isnt the right way to do this , IE is by far the most popular browser used

It really needs to be fixed pronto, yet everyone on XOOPS seems to shy away from it

Its not in the XOOPS 2.0.16.* versions, so its obviously something they have done to the higher versions
