Notifications work via email but not via PM.

Also when a new PM is received, there is no notification either.

Text issue with some punctuation and symbols

This happened last year sometime but I don't recall any specific event triggering it.

One example is in our shoutbox if you use a ' it turns into /'

On our Main Menu block:
News & Articles

Now I have been able to go into the Modules admin and fix little stuff like that. But I can't fix the shoutbox. Because it was occurring in places outside the shoutbox I'm assuming its something sitewide but I have no idea.

Yesterday I tested after turning the notifications blocks back on. I hid them after they weren't working... back maybe after our upgrade to 2.0, its been so long I forget now. Anyway staff were complaining that they had notifications set and never got any emails so I just hid the blocks and forgot about it.

I created items yesterday and my other admin did get an email but I didn't. So it doesn't send me a notice if I created the item, that makes sense. I will get the other admin to create some new items and test it. Yesterday I went through all of my modules and ran the update feature... hoping that if something was not right after our server move that it might be resolved with this. It did seem to fix our issue with not being able to upload items on forum posts.

He said its related to switching from a 32bit server to a 64bit server.

I need something simple Kev that's the problem. What little I did know about CSS has long been forgotten. This is more of a wish than a need. I know you have a mobile theme for us but my phone doesn't recognize it...which is fine for me because my phone loads the site beautifully. Its other people I'm thinking of. Even a plain text site would be ok if it allowed people to navigate easier.

Our webhost moved us to a new 64bit server and believes this is the cause for all the IPs on the XOOPS site to be wrong but not being a XOOPS developer does not know what needs to be done to fix this.

IP addresses were fine prior to this. Some Googling reveals that other software developers have encountered the same issue and believe it requires a change in the database table.

The notifications that are at the bottom of the site, for each section on the site... have never worked. Suggestions for repair?

Multisite and WURFL are modules?

Do I need to make a duplicate copy of my site? I don't know how the mobile.mysite.com is supposed to work. Do I have to create a subdomain named Mobile? Shouldn't there be a mobile site theme in the XOOPS core?

I think my theme developer made a mobile theme but it doesn't kick in when I use my phone.

How do I go about getting my site to be more user friendly when on a smartphone? On my Thunderbolt with a nice large screen its fine but I know this isn't the norm for most users.

I mean that I'm fairly certain the NPM users group had no problems accessing all the modules before we did our last upgrade. I didn't hear that it was an issue till after we went to 2.4

yes if the new members are truly abusers they will be banned but until we know who is joining for legit reasons versus non legit we are making new members NPM for right now. This just started in the past month or two mind you, never been an issue in the past so its not been standard practice to place someone in NPM. Prior to this I believe we had TWO users in NPM.
