I've just set 777 fo cash folder and 666 for adminmenu.php file. Is that right?
But no result - still redirected to this "first time" message.
(BTW, at the forum it's a alright with the admin - everything works).

I moved the site to another host, and verything seems ok but for one thing: when I go to the Admin section I get the following message:

"This is your first time to enter the administration section. Press the button below to proceed".

I ckick on Submit below, and I'm cast on this page with this message again, seems like I'm looping there. I simply cannot pass this page.
When the page reloads, I see "failed open file" message in the corner.

How to repair it?
THanx in advance

Thank you, pod.
I've been thinking about creating blocks visible on all pages,
but that won't do And I only need to insert blocks on
the pages with user profile and the like. It MUST be possible for it IS done on this evry site!!
Of course, I could create a new module and place all the content of current user pages in the center block and add side blocks...But then the URL will change and it may cause a load of problems in the work of the whole XOOPS...
Maybe someone knows how to do that?
I'm sure there is a file with a piece of code that reads all the active modules and lists them in the Admin drop-down menu. If only i knew which one I think I could solve my problem!
Can anyone help? Please..

Another strange thing:
when the size of the block's content is small (several lines)
it is submitted without visible problems, but the server will not accept it if the content of the block is large.

I cannot edit blocks, when I click on Submit,
I get blank page with the following message:

Not Acceptable
An appropriate representation of the requested resource /modules/system/admin.php could not be found on this server.

What went wrong?
Can anything be done about this? It never happened before.

I just rushed to view it through another IE and it's okay!
It is surely a browser problem and not the XOOPS (and it's just wonderful).

Thanx again!

Thank you, Jdseymour, but that does not seem to help.
I've just tried to view this very forum through IE and the situation is very much alike. I wonder if it's a common thing for XOOPS newbb2 forums viewed through IE or something's wrong with my browser? I didn't have this problem with newbb1.

Anyway, thanks a lot for quick reply!
