You can follow the instructions of myPage guide.
When you installed the “module”, go to the admin section
Select users then from the drop-down menu click to groups (for XOOPS 2.2.x)

Then set the “access rights” as you wish

This is not a guide for creating custom templates.

You can use this in order to include your html pages inside a XOOPS site.

A detailed post for doing this is here.

In order to allow only registered users view the contents, modify the groups permissions like in a normal module.

A very good choice regarding menu-stuff is the multimenu module.

You can play with all the things you said that you want,

Check it!

OK, assuming the case that you are using a forum module like cbb, have you noticed that it includes a css file as well?

You have to place it inside the active theme folder.

I think that you modify this from the global.php file inside the language folder.

In a similar problem that I faced with date format in cbb, I found the solution in the language files.

The site is in Greek and I had to modify the global.php…as I remember
Anyway, If your site is in English ignore my post

For example…

If you want to use the search facility of the XOOPS core…for any word (not necessary for the wordbook)

When you received the results, in addition with the results you asked, you will receive words from the wordbook that have more then one explanations…

Hmm…if you don’t understand what I mean…visit our website and use the search utility (of the site).

I’m using weblink module.

I chose that for similar reasons that you afraid of…supporting.

The guys that support the module publish frequently versions that fix bugs and add user requests.

You can check also pd-links…very interesting as well!
