I'm having this problem on a free account... I doubt I can edit their php.ini... Does that mean no av's for my site, wise sage?

I get this when trying to upload avatars or images for imagemanager:
Errors Returned While Uploading
File not found

I have verified that the uploads dir is writable, so that must mean the webserver doesn't allow for that? Is there any way to circumvent it, of will I have to forget avatars at all and upload images through ftp?

I've uploaded the templates from my site to the site in question and it seems to work. I'll recompile the modules just to make sure.

Thanks for your help!

Well, the group permissions are set, as are the permissions to the template_c directory, uploads and cache. Also, I can't see the articles even logged in as webmaster.

I also found I can't upload images or avatars. Although the uploads is writable, I get
Errors Returned While Uploading
File not found

I think I know, what the problem is - I seem to be missing templates, for example I've got only one template for the newbb module, whereas I have eleven of those at my site.

I'll try to re-load them. Would you think recompiling modules would help?

Greetings,

I'm having this problem: I've installed XOOPS on a free account and I can't seem to get it to display the news articles. The only accessible section is the archive, and I can't view articles from there either. Also, in the newbb module, the fora are visible, but they can't be accessed. I get no error messages, only empty module bodies.

I'm using XOOPS 2.0.6 with Polish language pack for the site. It is a free account, so I imagine there may be some php functions disabled... the site ishttp://www.monika.w.szu.pl

I've had no problem with that on MY website, neither before or after it was upgraded to 2.0.7

So, does anyone have any ideas what should I keep bugging the admin about? Thanks.

Thank you for the response. I'll ask my administrator anbout the HTTP upload.

Do you know if mydownloads files can be imported to WF_Downloads in some way, without re-adding them manually? If so, I might give it a shot.

Sorry for posting in the wrong place, it that's a problem.

I'm running a website with XOOPS 2.0.6 on an Apache PHP module (I think) and I'm having this problem with the mydownloads module:

When I upload a file, either logged in as webmaster or test user, I keep running up against a barrier. Files smaller than ca 1,5 MB are uploaded; files larger than that 1,5 MB return an upload error.

I've enabled user upload, selected all listed file types as eligible for upload, I've set the maximum width and hight of uploads to 320, I've set the file size ceiling for uploads to 10,000,000 bytes, the uploads directory has been set to CHMOD 777. I'm positive I don't exceed my disk quota.

I can upload files through FTP and then add them to the database, but I'd like the users to be able to do this too. Obviously, I can't allow them FTP access :)

Also, there's another problem: When I enable admin approval for uploaded files, I can't approve them! Whn I click the approve button in the waiting files queue form, nothing changes, the file is still listed as waiting for approval. I can delete unapproved files, though, and I've verified that they are in the uploads dir as expected.

Does anyone know the cause or a possible solution to this issue?

And why not use 766 for the uploads directory, wouldn't that be safe and useful? ...since I can't think of an activity other that reading and writing to this dir, why the need for execute permission? (I'm a n00b though, so it may just be my lack of imagination ;))

(there was a thread realting to uploads directory settings somewhere here, but I can't seem to find it so I posted here :) )

EDIT: OK, so I just found out this doesn't work well with a PHP on Apache, it can't read uploads then, only I can't figure out why it doesn't

I've had a similar problem once when I was using the xfsection module with XOOPS 2.0.6, I had to disable it to view anyone's account. Don't know what the reason was, though.

I've recently re-installed the module and everything works fine.
