I keep looking, but I don't see the answer in any faq or other forum posting. If the answer is here on this website somplace, would somebody help me find it?

I've got three PHP notices that appear on all pages.

I searched the site for this, but apparently it isn't common.

Here they are:

Notice [PHP]: Undefined index: meta_desc in file include/functions.php line 53

Notice [PHP]: Undefined index: show_cblock in file header.php line 54

Notice [PHP]: Undefined index: show_cblock in file header.php line 58

What is causing this, and how can I fix it?

Well thanks jdseymour,

I just deleted every single file, and reinstalled XOOPS before I read your post.

I went in and had no system right to anything as a webmaster. Since I assume these settings reside in the database instead of the php files, I guess I did that pretty much for nothing.

Thanks for replying. I'm not lazy, as I have spent much time searching this site for answers. Although I'm sure every single problem is in the faq somwhere, it's hard to guess what keywords to search on.

That's what makes people like you invaluable here.

This is getting annoying.

I just deactivated, uninstalled all the modules except for system. I then deleted all folders inside the module folder, uzipped a fresh copy of XOOPS, and uploaded the new files into the module directory.

Still, the "system" icon does not appear in the left colum.

I installed the "contact us" , forum, and links.

Forum and links shows up on the left, contact us does not. I'll let you know when I add a few others.

I only see a four out of about nine.

I just removed and uninstalled everything except the sytem module.

The system module icon does not appear in the left colum of the Control Panel Home page.

I just found part of the problem. The path to the admin control panel was wrong in include/cp_functions.php

Not sure how the path got wrong here, as I've never opened this file before.

I changed the path to the correct one there, and now it the "Control Panel Home" link goes to the right place. However, as you stated, this does not fix the missing module problem.

Thanks for posting. I was starting to think I was talking to myself here.

It seems to be a path problem, as when i click on "Control Panel Home" instead of going to mysite.com/admin.php instead of mysite.com/modules/system/admin.php

Having the correct path brings up the center panel, but still, only a few installed modules are displayed on the left.

I deleted the modules/system folder, and re-uploaded it, but it did not change anything.

It started out with the system module icon not showing up in the module icon list on the left.

Thinking it a fluke, I deactivated all modules and re-activated them, thinking that might fix things. However, now none of the module icons show up.

The modules all work, they just don't show up in the module list.

When I click the "Control Panel Home" icon at the top, it goes to a page with the XOOPS header and footer, but no modules.

Where do I go to fix this?

Hello-

For some reason, the links in the usermenu block are all double-spaced. Where do I go to fix this so it is single-spaced like all the other block menus?
