There is one change I'd like to make though. How can I change the notice that says, "You cannot view results while in Election Mode" when you click the results button. Since this isn't an election in this case I just want it to say, "you cannot view the results until all votes are tallied."

Where do I go to change that text?

Thanks again.

Thanks for the clarification! It was just the fact that I was trying to use it in block mode, if I don't display the poll in a block then it works as I expected.

Great job on the modification, it's just what I need!

Another bug is that it seems you can only vote once. I tried it again with a new poll and I voted. Got the same result showing 100%, then I logged back in as a different user and tried to vote but it wouldn't let me, all it did was show the results button.

When I clicked the results button it displayed this message: "Cannot view results while in election mode."

But since it automatically showed the percentages in the block it is showing the results.

I tested this but it didn't seem to work. I set it to "election mode" -- which says that "only registered users can vote and results are not shown." But when I add a poll with these settings and test it out it immediately shows "100%" for the selection I vote for. I don't want to show the results though.

This might do exactly what you want.

Let us know if it worked for you.

just some sugestions:

- only being able to see poll results after vote in it;
- only being able to see poll results after poll get closed;
- add some kind of "discuss in forum" to polls, with main XOOPS boards as options (newbb, ipboard, phpbb)

hope you understand what i mean! im brazilian, and my english is not so good...

Those are all great additions that I would desperately love to see added to the Polls module. The hiding the results until after the poll is closed is one I need now.

I know there are some promising things in development (Formulize for one) but I was wondering if there's anything ready now?

Is there a way to conduct secret balloting using the Poll module so that results will not be revealed until after the poll has expired?

I would like to have my members vote on the best script written by members, but I don't want them to be able to see the results until after the poll has expired.
