Hi I have installed 2.0.16 on my server, which went fine, then Install finishes and I am left with a blank page

I tried going directly to the admin page, but same effect. I am running a lower version on the server (under a different sub domain)

Is it somethign I have done wrong?

Cheers

On my site sometimes people will try to attach an image to thier post but after they have submitted it, the post will not display. This doesn't happen all the time, rarely in fact so I can just adjust the database entry manually to remove the attachments.

I am wondering if anyone else has had a similar experiance and if there is something I am doing wrong! Using Version 2 of NewBB.

Cheers!

Can't anyone help? I have searched on here but can't find ref to this problem.

Further investigation indicates that it is the theme I am using. When I switch back to the default theme, the images and fonts are rendered in the correct size. I have played about with the themes CSS file but nothing seems to effect the font size.

Please I really need help

I think the problem is that the text used for the links is too big (when I compare the size of the font to the one on this site).

Can someone tell me what part of the template or anything else I need to change to get them into the correct size.

Many thanks!

Thanks for the assist!

It was the firewall causing the issue (bleeding things )

Once the firewall was "switched off" posting to the site was fine, as soon as put back on again, nothing. He played with the settings and all is happy.

Once again thankyou!

Hay all!

I have testing out NewBB 2.0.2 on my backup machine as I want to put it into use on my main website, however I have one small (mainly irritating) issue.

When there is multiple pages the system displayes a set of pages on the top right and bottom left. Rather then it getting rendered correctly with the page numbers in the middle of the "page" icon, they are like this:

Resized Image

I think it is the table cells are rendered too big but I am not sure what in the template I would need to change, assuming that is what is wrong. I have not adjusted any of the templates at all at the moment either.

Any ideas? Very confused!

Otherwise it is a really cool module!

Cheers

Hi all,

On my XOOPS site, a user is unable to post into the forum. He is able to log on, write out a post and even preview it, but when he hits "Submit" the system doesn't add it to the database.

We have tried everything at his end but as he is on a works machine he cannot mess with the firewall (too much!). He is able to post on his home PC and no one else seems to have this problem.

I am stumped, does anyone have a suggestion on what is or isn't happening?

Thanks!

Parts List module

Hi everyone!

I am looking for a module that would allow me to have a searchable and sortable "Parts List" module. All it needs to do is store 2-3 fields (Part name, part number and maybe the price).

The only thing I can find that comes close are the e-commerce systems, but I don't need baskets, checkouts or payment systems as i am not actually selling things, just listing them for easy referance.

Does anyone know of a module that does something like this?

Cheers!

@script_fu

The idea I was thinking of is kinda like a "online log book". In one section people can keep track of the amount of fuel they are using along with thier MPGs (or l/km), cost per litre (or gallon depending on where in the world you are!). The second section would have the ability to enter in information about servicing times (based on milage and/or date), when to check oil, top up the windscreen wash bottle, even when to clean the car. Then the system could send email reminders when the time or distance is reached.

Basically an online version of my spreadsheet.

Then maybe see about adding in extra functionality?
