Hello!

I've been using XOOPS for quite some time. However, I am on a new host, so I am not sure if this is the problem. Anyways, I have uploaded new themese downloaded from this site. Anyways, when I edot and save, in general settings, the theme I want displayed, it says database updated, but when I go to the home page, it shows the default theme. Any reasons why?

I work for a company called Tierra.Net who has devloped their own propeitary and powerful control panel system. I will talk to our programmers and see if a third party application, given the proper information, could create an email address in our system.

Is ther a way to disabled the automatic signup of an email address, and let the user submit a form that is then sent to the adminsitrator? Then the admin would have to manual setup the account with their control panel. I know this would be cumbersome, but for small sites should be fine.

Hello All!

I am working on a clietns website who is doing a Christian Portal using Xoops, and I think this theme, with a little modification would be great:

http://www.phase-nine.net/clients/portalbot/

Could this be converted and if so, how much?

Okay, I'm a wee bit retarded at times. I have given guests access to all modules and blocks. Check it out!

Well, my first comment is:

Customer? Did you pay XOOPS or any users here anything? I bet no. So, you are a user, dare I say leech, that is using a FREE program that is amazing and has FREE support when , YOU, put some effort in. Infact, XOOPS is farely easy to setup and if you know half of what your doing, you should have no problems.

May I make a suggestion to you. Quite while you are ahead. Don't bother doing web pages or using any CMS (thats content management system--- didn't want you to get offended for me using acronyms). If this is the type of patience you show and the kind of respect you give to people giving FREELY (like how it all comes back to free?) of their time, then you will not be accepted in any community. I for one am grateful for all the help I have gotten.

So, my conclusion: I'm glad he walked. Less annoyance for later on.

oops, that is now fixed to see the articles page, but I cant figure out how to gove access to let people see the profiles page since the block is not in the admin area under the blocks section where you add access rights. How would I enable this for everyone to see?
