Well this isnt good, I was planning on upgrading to news 1.53 this weekend now I cant download the module, I was also wanting to use marquee for something too.

I really dont know whats going on between herve and XOOPS and i really dont care but something has to be sorted for the sake of XOOPS users and for the sake of new users looking at using xoops, 2.0.16 doesnt come with any modules so the way it looks right now you cant use the latest news version, if your installing a new XOOPS site.

Like JAVesey said it is the XOOPS users who will lose out and anyone looking at using XOOPS will surely move onto another platform if they cannot download some key modules.

This is a sad day.

Just downloaded and tested, its brilliant such a simple yet extremely usefull module.

I have some feature requests if thats ok.

1.abillty to browse list of uploaded images on admin side, incase anyone uploads bad images then they can be deleted by admin.

2.ability to set max upload size (KB)

3.setting to maybe allow a user to only upload a certain amount in a day/week, etc either defined by amount of images or amount in KB.

Theres so many other things i can think of and many other uses, integration with an photo album module(or make picoto into an photo album module) where users can upload pics into there albums and have codes to share, XOOPS would have its own photobucket module.

This is an excellent little module, very usefull to community sites. I think this should be in XOOPS news to.

Thanks.

Hi, im not sure you can wrap a standalone php application in wraps, ive never tried it though so I could be wrong. Have you tried installing it and importing plain html files to see if it works?

Even if you got the phpizabi app to wrap into your XOOPS theme it wouldnt use XOOPS users or XOOPS groups that would require considerable modification to the phpizabi script.

Your best bet would be if someone like phppp took up a project to integrate it to xoops, i believe he integrtated wordpress and mediawiki, maybe if you contact him he would look at it the site is www.xoopsforge.com your other option would be if a phpizabi or XOOPS developer creates some sort of plugin or bridge.

Hi, sounds like a hosting issue, maybe your host has installed a security filter onto the server, i f i remember i had a similar problem a while ago.

Check with your host and if they have you can add something like the following to your .htaccess file to turn the security filter off.

SecFilterEngine Off
SecFilterScanPOST Off

Thanks for this update, I, like alot of people I think where suffering from Turkish hackers trying to do some sort of SQL injection attack(Protector stopped it everytime), on checking my logs it was always print.php they went through, was it just print.php that was more unsecure?

I went into the templates and removed the print link and deleted print.php off of the server, how many people actually print the articles anyway.

But thanks for this update i will install ASAP.

Oh and wf-sections may be old and the coding maybe not up to standard but I think wf-sections is one of the best article modules available, i particularly like the layout especially the index page with the categories and articles underneath kind of gives it a yahoo news look and i like the ability to spotlight articles on the front page.

I think with some modifications and updates it would be a great news or article module, like most wf modules it was a bit feature heavy, a bit of streamlining and some updating and wf-sections would kick major ass in the article module stakes.

Thanks for your hard work

Ive only used Yahoo hosting once and that was years ago and it was just a basic html site, if they are not allowing special characters, spaces in file names, etc then you could have a problem hosting and type of CMS. And as far as I remember they dont have anything like cpanel I could be wrong though.

I reccomend Surpass Hosting ive been with them for about 3 years first on a shared server now im on dedicated, there prices are fairly low and there uptime and service is very good, they also have good support too, I wouldnt dream of hosting with anyone else.

Yes, I believe you can set group permissions on a per faq basis, there should be an option when creating the faq to selct which groups can read the faq.

I know this has been asked before, I searched for a good bit but still cant find(or I cant understand) a solution to get the users avatar to display on the userpage module.

I have tried several different smarty variables and i couldnt get it to work, I did manage to edit the index page to show 'Hello, <$xoops_uname}> welcome to your page but the avatar thing still eludes me.

I searched the index.php file and found this code (line 105)
$xoopsTpl->assign('user_avatar'XOOPS_UPLOAD_URL.'/'.$page_user->getVar('user_avatar'));

Si i figured (not sure if my smarty code is correct here) if i put this code on the template file:
<img src="<{$XOOPS_UPLOAD_URL}>/<{$user_avatar}>" />

but it still does not work, just shows the red X when i look at the properties of the red X it shows the path ashttp://mysite.com/uploadshttp://mysite.com/uploads which is obviously wrong.

In the modules changelog it says:
Quote:
In the module's index page you can now use the folowing Smarty variables (the name should be explicit) :

I'm not sure what 'name shoudl be explicit' means though

Im not sure if im doing the smarty wrong or maybe the code in the php file is wrong, has anyone got avatars to show on the latest version of userpage?

Im using zoops 2.0.13.2

Cheers.
